Scott Speedman and Fiancée Lindsay Rae Hofmann Welcome Second Baby, a Boy: ‘Our Hearts Have Burst Right Open’

Scott Speedman and his fiancee Lindsay Rae Hofmann have a new addition to their family!

On Wednesday, September 25, Hofmann shared a post on Instagram, announcing that she had given birth to the couple’s second baby earlier this month – a boy named Indy.

“Our beautiful baby boy is here,” she captioned the post, which was accompanied by black-and-white family photos.

“Our hearts opened and we fell madly in love. You came fast and furious the day after Dad’s birthday and on the official due date—September 2nd at 7:12 am at a surprising 8 pounds. We love you Indy bubo, it was always you 🐞,” Hofmann continued.

Speedman (49) and Hofmann are also parents to daughter Pfeiffer Lucia (2).

The first photo released in Hofmann’s social media post shows Indy napping. The carousel continued with a shot of Pfeiffer kissing her new brother.

Next was a sweet photo of the mother of two cradling Indy with Speedman as they both smile at each other, followed by another shot of Hofmann, Pfeiffer and Indy, plus another close-up of the newborn.

The last photo shows Pfeiffer and Indy lying side by side on the floor.

Hofmann announced her pregnancy in March. At the time, she shared a black-and-white photo of herself holding Pfeiffer with her baby bump exposed. “Nova le bébé coming soon…” she wrote in the caption.

Speedman and the swimwear designer went public with their relationship in 2017 before getting engaged in June 2023. The Canadian actor popped the question during a nature walk.

Ahead of the birth of their first child in October 2021, Speedman opened up to PEOPLE in an exclusive interview about becoming a father. “I’m aware that I don’t have to do the heavy lifting, so I’m the coach and support team for my little girl. We’re just trying to get everything ready,” he said.

Speedman was a recurring presence on ABC’s hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy since his buzzy appearance in an episode in 2018. According to Deadline, he is set to star in several episodes for Season 21, which kicked off in dramatic fashion on Thursday, September 26.
