Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s romance is heating up fast.

The “Single Soon” singer was first linked to the producer in December 2023, confirming the two were in a relationship when she liked fans’ Instagram posts of the two, even commenting, “He’s my absolute everything in my heart “, on one.

Since then, Gomez has posted Blanco on her Instagram on numerous occasions and even took him as a companion to the 2024 Golden Globes in January. After the evening, she shared a photo of the happy couple kissing on her Instagram Story, writing: “I won.”

March 2019: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco released a song together

Years before their relationship turned romantic, Gomez and Blanco collaborated on the song “I Can’t Get Enough.” It also featured Tainy and J Balvin. The singer starred in the video and shared a sweet scene with Blanco while she was in pajamas and he was dressed as a big white bear.

In 2023, they worked together again on her single “Single Soon”, which was released in August.

December 7, 2023: Selena Gomez confirmed that she is dating Benny Blanco

Gomez let fans know she was getting serious about her relationship with Blanco when she started liking and commenting on Instagram posts that said the two were dating.

She also responded to some fans who questioned the relationship, writing in the comments, “why then he was the best thing that ever happened to me. End.”

She replied to another user: “I don’t understand. If you really care about me. This is the happiest for me. If you don’t feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never let your words rule my life. Ever. I am done. If you can’t accept me when I’m happiest, don’t come in [m]and life at all.”

In another comment, Gomez revealed that they’ve been going strong for six months in response to a person’s comment that she seemed “angry” at her fans for their reaction to the romance news.

“I’m not angry. It’s been 6 months bb,” she wrote. “I will always defend my friends, family and fans until the day I die.”

The next day, Gomez posted a picture on her Instagram Story of herself wearing a special ring with the letter “B” on her left ring finger.

A week after going public with their relationship, Gomez shared a sweet behind-the-scenes look at her romance with the song’s producer. She posted a photo of Blanc cuddling up to her as she hugs him on her Instagram Story, leaving it uncaptioned.

In a recap of her “favorite moments” on Instagram from her time in New York that week, Gomez slipped in a sweet photo of herself lying on Blanco’s lap as they cuddled. In the black-and-white photo, Gomez leans back as Blanco leans in to kiss her lips.

Elsewhere in the carousel of photos, Gomez posed with Blanco, who hugged her.

December 21, 2023: Selena Gomez reveals what she’s looking for in a relationship

In an interview with Vogue México y LatinoaméricaGomez revealed that self-respect and holding space for other people’s feelings are the top priorities of what she looks for in a partner.

Although she did not name Blanco, she said she started hanging out with “the right kind” of people.

“Honestly, I have to start being attracted to the right people, because it’s a little bit of both,” the “Same Old Love” singer said in the interview, which was translated from Spanish to English. “It’s very hard to find someone who can listen to you and care for you, but I know when that happens it will be great and you’ll want him to be healthy.”

The two musicians went to an art exhibition together where they posed under a pink mirrored ceiling. Gomez posted their reflections – which show Blanco hugging her and burying his head in her neck as she looked up and smiled – on her Instagram Story.

A few days later, she posted another photo of the two hugging and smiling as they enjoyed a day on the dock to her Instagram Story.

January 2, 2024: Benny Blanco becomes Instagram official with Selena Gomez

The couple ushered their relationship into the new year, with Blanco posting a photo of Gomez smiling for the camera on his Instagram Story. He followed it with another photo of Gomez smiling and covering her face with manicured red nails.

They were sitting next to the field and seemed cuddly because they weren’t afraid to show their love in front of the cameras that were photographing them.

At one point, Gomez rested her head on Blanco’s shoulder, and at another, they held hands while watching the game.

Following their release, a source told PEOPLE that the “Love You Like a Love Song” singer is “super happy and present” amid her romance with the “Eastside” producer.

“He seems to be feeling really good right now,” the insider said. “Maybe it’s Benny or maybe it’s just where he is personally and professionally.”

The source added that everyone in Gomez’s life is protective of her, including her Just the murders in the building honor.
