Selena Gomez Vamps in Sophisticated Head-to-Toe Black at the Emilia Pérez L.A. Premiere

Selena Gomez is in a monochromatic mood!

As part of the sequel Emilia Perez on the press tour, the actress (32) attended the premiere in Los Angeles in a sophisticated black Elie Saab dress.

Gomez wore an off-the-shoulder gown with an intricate satin design that draped over her bodice. The skirt of the dress was made of black taffeta and created the illusion of a cape silhouette, but also included a short train.

She completed the elegant look with a pair of black leather gloves above the elbow, black patent leather pointed toe shoes and a pair of diamond hoop earrings.

For her glam, the singer and actress kept the look sophisticated with a slicked back bun, deep taupe smokey eye shadow, rosy cheeks and matte nude lipstick.

Gomez stepped out in the look after the Jacques Audiard-directed film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it earned two awards, including best actress for its female ensemble, and a standing ovation lasting several minutes. Gomez stars as Jessi Del Monte in the musical film.

Styled by Erin Walsh, the “Single Soon” singer wore everything from Saint Laurent in Cannes to Oscar de la Renta in London (make those two striking looks from the label) to Vera Wang in New York while still staying true to her glam classics.

Most recently, Gomez attended the October 19 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles wearing an Alaïa blue brushed leather halter dress with leather cups. She accessorized with eye-catching jewelry, including a wrist cuff and eye-catching earrings that were on full display. She also wore her new bob in a slicked-back style, bringing back the flip bob trend that was popular in Hollywood earlier this year.

According to the synopsis, Emilia Pérez “follows the journey of four extraordinary women in Mexico, each searching for their own happiness” through song and dance.

At the premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September, Gomez said she felt “grateful” for all the success in her life, including her involvement in the project, which also stars Zoe Saldaña and Karla Sofía Gascón.

Emilia Perez is in theaters on November 1st and will be released on Netflix on November 13th.
