Shania Twain was in for a real birthday surprise when Boyz II Men joined her on stage in Las Vegas.
On Thursday, August 29, the country singer belatedly celebrated her 59th birthday (the actual date was August 28) during one of her Las Vegas residency shows, inviting members of the iconic R&B group to join her on stage for a duet.
In a video shared on Twain’s X (formerly Twitter) account, fans can be heard cheering as Shawn Stockman, Nate Morris and Wanya Morris take the stage to accompany the singer on performances of her 1997 hit “You’re Still The One” and of the iconic Boys II Men song “I’ll Make Love To You.”

However, before leaving the stage, the group surprised Twain with a birthday cake and an impromptu rendition of “Happy Birthday” — and of course, they had the crowd singing along before she blew out the candles.
“Happy birthday,” the trio said to the singer. “We truly appreciate you inviting us to your beautiful stage.”
Twain later thanked the X trio for stopping by to celebrate her big day, writing: “As a little birthday celebration and surprise for my fans I invited @BoyzIIMen on stage at my show in Vegas last night – But what I didn’t expect was them, @LiveNationVegas and @CaesarsEnt surprise me with a cake 🥰”
“Would you believe I hate being in the spotlight with my career?! 😂 Thanks to my husband, Boyz II Men, my amazing crew, everyone at @PHVegas @PHLiveVegas and of course my amazing fans for celebrating with me. I feel much loved ❤️.”

Twain also got some birthday wishes on her actual birthday — on Wednesday, her husband Frédéric Thiébaud wished her a happy birthday with a sweet tribute on Instagram.
The businessman (54) shared a photo of the couple smiling and sharing intimate moments together on a boat, along with a happy birthday message.
“Happy birthday to this amazing human being @shaniatwain 😍🥳🎈🍰,” he wrote.

Also on Wednesday, the singer shared her own birthday message on Instagram, posting a video that featured tons of clips from her residency set to “Dude! I feel like a woman!”
“Today is my birthday and I feel like a wicked queen!” she wrote a heartfelt post.
“Thank you for all the love and birthday messages, I love you!” she continued. “And I can’t wait to celebrate with you all in Vegas this week 🥰 Who’s coming to the show? Let’s go totally crazy and have fun!! 💥🥳.”
Twain kicked off her Come on Over residency back in May, marking her third Las Vegas residency of her career. Performances run through December at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood.
