Shawn Michaels is a famous American wrestler, actor and television host. He made a name for himself in the wrestling world. Hickenbottom made his professional wrestling debut on October 16, 1984 with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) under the name “Shawn Michaels” and Jose Lothario as his trainer. He also worked for the American Wrestling Association (AWA) from 1986 to 1987 and Texas All-Star Wrestling (TASW) from 1985 to 1986.
He briefly signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 1987 as a member of The Rockers. A year later, they were re-hired by WWE, and on July 7, 1988, they appeared at a WWF live event. The group quickly became popular among mothers and children. At Survivor Series 1989, Michaels headlined his first WWE pay-per-view event, a four-on-four match.
Michaels established himself as the most popular WWE wrestler in early 1995.
