Shay Mitchell will always have a special bond with two of her exes Pretty Little Liar costars.
While speaking with PEOPLE at an H&M party in New York City on Monday, Nov. 18, the 37-year-old actress opened up about her friendship with Ashley Benson and Troian Bellisario and how motherhood brought them together.
“We’ll have that friendship for life and it’s so great to see them both grow into mothers,” says Mitchell.
She continues, “Troian gave me so much advice and it’s really great that we still have this amazing friendship.”

Mitchell has two daughters, Roma (2) and Atlas (5), who she shares with boyfriend Matteo Babel, while new mom Benson shares daughter Aspen (8 months) with husband Brandon Davis.
Meanwhile, Bellisario has two daughters, Aurora Adams, 6, and Elliot Rowena Adams, 3, with her husband Patrick J. Adams.

The trio starred in all seven seasons of the popular teen drama series Pretty Little Liars – based on Sarah Shepard’s series of novels of the same name – from 2010 to 2017. The series, which followed five teenage girls who begin receiving threats from an anonymous person, also starred Lucy Hale and Janel Parrish in lead roles.
In June, during a performance at Show Jennifer HudsonMitchell said she is hesitant to revisit the show with her children despite her Babel’s insistence.

“He says, ‘The day Atlas is old enough, we’ll look back at it,'” Mitchell said. “I say, ‘My eyebrows are really thin all season. I don’t know if I’m ready.’ ”

After the birth of Mitchell’s first child in 2016, she told tell Party tonight to turn to Bellisari for parenting advice.

“She was the person I looked to for the most advice, she obviously has a daughter of her own,” Mitchell said at the time. “I’m the luckiest person in the world. Not only is she such an amazing person, she’s the best mom ever.”
