Shivanshu Soni is an Indian dancer and choreographer. He is known for his fusion of classical and contemporary dance forms. He has participated in various Indian dance reality shows.

Shivanshu Soni, also known as the Fusionist, was born on Saturday, June 23, 2001 (age 22; as of 2023) in Umri village, Satna district, Madhya Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Cancer. Shivanshu was only five years old when she first performed on a school stage. He loved it and enrolled in Kathak dance classes in Satna. He completed his school education at St. Michael’s High School, MP Satna. He then pursued his bachelor’s degree from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. In 2019, he received his diploma in dance from Roots Dance Academy, Vadodara.

However, Shivanshu began training in classical dance at the age of 5; due to the lack of dance academies and teachers to teach other modern dance forms, Shivanshu began attending dance workshops in cities such as Mumbai and Vadodara. These dance workshops were very beneficial for him as he could learn various dance forms in a short period of time. He then began practicing his own dance style, which included kathak and a mix of swings, pops, cuts and animations.

In 2016, Shivanshu started participating in major dance competitions. He got his big break in 2016 when he won the Dance Vindhya dance competition.
In 2018, he won the Evolution 2 National Dance Competition in Goa with his impressive dance performance and became the runner-up in the competition in 2019.
In April 2020, when the lockdown was imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he participated in a dance competition called the “Stay Home Solo Dance Competition” in which contestants had to participate
In 2021, he will participate in the American reality dance competition TV series World Dance Championships. Although he finished second in the qualifying round, he did not advance to the next round. In May 2022, he participated in the Entertainer No. 1 competition organized by Flipkart and stood out from 25,000 contestants as one of the top 25 contestants. In the final round, he achieved impressive results among the top three players.

Shivanshu successfully auditioned for Gujarat’s reality dance show Jam Ke Naach in January 2018 and was selected as one of the top 10 finalists. The show is judged by renowned Indian choreographer Terrence Lewis and other celebrities. Although Shivanshu did not make it to the finals, he made it to the top three and won a cash prize of Rs. 100,000.

In 2019, Shivanshu auditioned for the reality dance show One Chance To Dance. Famous Indian choreographer Terence Lewis praised Shivanshu in the finale of “Chance You Dance” season 1 and said he never loses. Be it the classical dance form of Kathak or the contemporary cut, swing and pop dances, he has maintained the true essence of both the dance forms. This unique quality makes him the best blender. He made it to the final round of the show but failed to win.

Shivanshu participated in the auditions of the 2021 reality dance show “Dance+ 6”. His performance impressed the judge Remo D’Souza and he was directly entered into the top 12 contestants of the show, becoming the first person to be directly promoted. Players entered the top 12, but were eliminated before reaching the top 6.

Shivanshu auditioned for the popular reality dance show India’s Best Dancer Season 3 airing on SonyLIV in 2023. His unique blend of pop music, animation, editing and swing with Kathak impressed all the judges, including well-known names like Sonali Bendre and Terence Lewis person. Judge Geeta Kapoor was particularly impressed with his performance and had a black dot placed behind his ear to protect him from the evil eye. She even compared his skills to legendary classical dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj.
Norwegian dance group Quick Style is the first international dance group to appear on an Indian dance reality show. They praised Shivanshu for his unique blend of classical and modern dance forms. After several rounds of competition, Shivanshu made it to the top 5 of the show, which included Samarpan Lama and Anjali Mamgai.
On September 30, 2023, Shivanshu won the third place in the competition
When he arrived at Satna after the show, he was given a warm welcome and presented with a trophy, saying:
They awarded me this trophy because I was their winner. What more could I ask for! I now officially win! “

- People around him, including his relatives, disliked him learning Kathak dance as a child because they thought classical dance was only for girls. Despite this, his family has always supported him, providing financial and emotional support to help him pursue his dreams.
