Squid game is back for season 2 — and it’s more intense than ever.

The trailer for the upcoming season of the Korean thriller opens with Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) waking up in a panic before raising a gun in a dimly lit hallway as he confronts a masked man. This comes after he has abandoned his dream of going to the US and instead takes part in a deadly game with revenge on his mind.

Leaving viewers to see the fear in his eyes, the scene changes to show a countdown and the masked crew preparing to start a new game.

“We’re ready to start the game,” a voice says in Korean.
