Summer House's West Wilson Says Ciara Miller Breakup Is 'My Fault' as She Admits to Still Having Feelings for Him

During the 1st part Summer house season 8 reunion, Ciara Miller and West Wilson revealed that while their relationship lasted until the fall, they broke up in December.

When the second part of the reunion continued on Thursday, June 13, host Andy Cohen asked West, 28, if he had any regrets about how things played out with Ciara, also 28.

“Ciara might regret our relationship and the trip we had for a month, but I don’t,” West said.

The sports journalist also took responsibility for how the relationship ended.

“I apologize for obviously hurting you and I don’t want to … you said you ‘got it’ earlier tonight and I don’t like to hear that,” West said. “But my feelings were genuine, I think I just expressed myself maybe too late after it was too late for you to, you know, realize things. But overall I’m sorry I hurt you and obviously it still hurts. I mean, it hurts me too. It’s my fault, so…”

While Ciara tried to say “it’s okay”, Andy, 56, thought otherwise and asked the nurse if she still had feelings for West.

“Yes, of course,” said Ciara.

Andy wondered if Ciara would give West another chance.

“It would have to be a world of change or something, and I just don’t know what people are capable of so … I mean, I’m not holding my breath for anybody,” she said. “I can’t sit here and say I like him and not still like him.”

This shocked West. “I didn’t expect to hear that, to be honest,” he said.

In the first installment of the reunion, West said he broke things off with Ciara because he wasn’t sure how to handle life in the spotlight while in a relationship.

“I’ve done a few parties where people f—ed up and did whatever. Those are the pictures and that’s it, the Bravo fanbase is all women,” he said. “There are these random things that I’ve never experienced before. It’s not a temptation, it’s just, is it a good look to go to those parties with women?”

The Missouri native also didn’t like how he was perceived online.

“I started getting everything that we were tagged or we were posting about or whatever it was ‘Ciara and Newbie,’ whatever,” he said. “And I was like, am I just going to be some fucking dude who comes on the show and is just Ciara’s puppet the whole time?”

His argument held no weight with Ciara. “It was easy to throw out the series and use it as an excuse to sort of dismiss the whole thing,” she told West, “but you’re clearly enjoying it.”

West told Bustle that hiding the relationship before the show aired was a challenge for him as well.

“We never officially made it a ‘thing,’ but we could have been,” he said. “That was strange to me too, because how can you be boyfriend and girlfriend with someone when you have to keep it a secret?”

The Bravo star knows he didn’t handle things well during the reunion.

“First of all, I was nervous because I hadn’t seen her in a long time,” West told Bustle. “And secondly, we never had a hardcore closure. We just agreed that maybe we wouldn’t talk, and at the time I didn’t really know what we were up to. Third, I tried to respond to what everyone else was saying [instead of] saying what I wanted to say. It was such a disaster.”

West told PEOPLE in May that he hopes to explore his relationship with Ciara outside the home once the summer is over.

“Being in that house is a somewhat abnormal situation, where you will see someone every weekend, you are in this microscope, always together, with exactly the same group of people,” he said. “I love seeing you and your friends hang out with my friends. So there was a lot of real life stuff that I wanted to explore and unpack. Summer was fun, but there’s a lot more to life and going out than you might realize at home on a TV show. I wanted to see how it would go.”
