Profession
Before pursuing a career in music, he worked at retail company Canadian Tire. He started his career in 2008 with the rap song “Get Em”. In the following years, he released several rap tracks such as BMF Freestyle (2010), Sky Scraper (2014) and Ted Dibiase (2016). Moulton was close to Punjabi music director and composer Big Bird. Malton collaborated with Byg Byrd in 2016 to release an impromptu diss song called “Jus Remain Humble Doe”. The song, which is based on J Cole’s song “Fire Squad,” criticizes Punjabi rapper Fateh, comedian Jus Reign, YouTuber Lilly Singh (under the pseudonym Superwoman) and Humble the Poet (aka Kanwer Singh).
In August 2017, Sunny Malton came into the limelight when she rapped on Sidhu Moose Wala and Byg Byrd’s hit song “So High,” which went on to become the pinnacle of Moosewala’s music career. The song’s iconic catchphrase, “Imma Imma Brown Boy,” catapulted Moulton to stardom. Marton also appeared in the music video for “So High”, which was filmed in Toronto. Thereafter, he was known as Muswara’s right-hand man.
He rose to fame with the song Issa Jatt (2017), a collaboration with Sidhu Moose Wala.
Malton and Moose Wala’s song “Just Listen” (2017) ranked No. 12 on the Asian Music Top 40 (2018). Other notable collaborations between Malton and Moose Wala include the songs East Side Flow (2019), Sidhu’s Anthem (2019), Chosen (2019) and B-Town (2019). Eventually, Sidhu Moose Wala, Byg Byrd, Sunny Malton and Big Boi Deep co-founded the music label Brown Boys Records. In 2019, they released the music album “Brown Boys Forever” under Brown Boys Records.
After three successful years together, Byg Byrd and Sunny Malton feuded with Moosewala in 2020 over leaked tracks and unpaid invoices. In 2021, Sunny Malton and Rajvir Gakhal launched their record label TPM Recordz. Malton and Moosewala settled their feud and got back together in 2021.
Sunny Malton announced in a 2021 Instagram post that he and Sidhu Moose Wala were ready to get back together after their falling out in 2020. Additionally, Moulton took to Instagram to blame Byg Byrd for past feuds, saying:
After all this nonsense, I learned that Sidhu is more real than byg pigeon. The Beagle Dove is not a bird, he is a Beagle Snake. “
Malton and Moosewala marked their return in 2022 with the song “Youngest In Charge.” Malton’s hit song Levels (2022), featuring Moose Wala, peaked at number 32 on the Canadian Hot 100 music chart. In 2022, he starred in the much-loved song “Never Fold” in Moosewala’s long-running drama “No Name.” In the same year, the long-running drama “It’s Always Sunny in California” was released.
Following the death of Moose Wala on November 1, 2022, Malton released the song “Letter to Sidhu” to pay tribute to him.
dispute
brown boys feud
In 2020, following the release of Brown Boys Forever, an online feud began between Sidhu Moose Wala and the Brown Boys (aka Byg Byrd, Sunny Malton, and Big Boi Deep). The question revolves around Moosewala’s song “My block,” which was edited by Byrd. After the song was finalized, Byg Byrd texted Moosewala asking for payment. However, when Byrd didn’t hear from Musvara for several days, he and Moulton uploaded a video on Instagram claiming that instead of paying them, Musvara “leaked” their song. In response to Brown Boy’s video, Musewala went live on Instagram and claimed he withheld payment because the song had not yet been released. He said Bird and Marton were only entitled to payment after the song was released. Musewala also accused the Brown Boys of leaking their song themselves and put the blame on him.
Feud with Sikander Kahlon
Punjabi rapper Sikander Karon has sided with Musewala following his feud with Brown Boy. In his Instagram Story, Kahlon shared that the Brown Boys asked him to follow them, and when Kahlon did, they just unfollowed him, which was very disrespectful to Kahlon. Additionally, Caron sparked Moulton’s ire when he tweeted support for Sidhu Mushwara in his clash with the Brown Boys. Moulton has since leaked screenshots of his conversations with Caron and issued a statement describing Caron’s request to collaborate with the Brown Boys. Sikander Kahlon later tweeted:
How do you get away with leaking someone’s screenshot? You need to reform Canadian Desi Youth
— Alejandro (@SikanderKahlon) May 7, 2020
Martona and Cuarón have since feuded over a series of tweets in which the pair brutally insulted each other. Eventually, Kahlon released a diss track to Malton called the Sunny Milton EP.
