Supermodels are back in town!
Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell — known as iconic ’90s supermodels — reunited at the Vogue World event in London on Thursday, kicking off London Fashion Week in style.
To close the show, the four held hands on stage before doing a lap around the Theater Royal Drury Lane as Annie Lennox performed a medley of “Sweet Dreams”. Cambell wore a forest green dress with cutouts, while Crawford, Turlington and Evangelista chose metallic shades for their dresses. After they played – to thunderous applause – they were welcomed on stage with bouquets of red roses and applause.
The models’ presence at the event comes after their appearance on the cover Voguethe September edition, also known as the fashion edition of each year.
“My reaction was, is this really happening?” Campbell, 53, told the publication in a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot. “Just to get everyone together to shoot with Edward [Enninful] and Anna [Wintour]it was a pleasure,” she added.
“One of my favorite things about the fashion industry is these friendships of people from all over the world,” noted Crawford, 57. “Hair, makeup, Edward, it’s really like your second family.”
“I’m blessed to come up at that time, I wouldn’t want to come up at any other time,” Campbell continued, adding Vogue title interview, “There was a sisterhood there, defined by care and loyalty: when one doesn’t work, you pick up the other.”

The four will star in an upcoming documentary series on Apple TV+ titled Super modelswill be released on September 20.
In a press release, the streamer promised to give audiences “unprecedented access” to the models. Viewers will go “behind the camera and off the catwalk” to see how they “dominated the elite world of modeling while shining a light on a relationship that single-handedly changed the power dynamics of the entire industry,” Apple TV+ teased.
In the trailer, Turlington, 54, said it was the first time the group had reunited “in our 50s.” Campbell added: “You see our photos, you feel like you know us,” before calling the pioneering women with whom she began her career her “chosen family.”

Prominent interviewees featured in the documentary series include Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Paul Cavac, Donatella Versace, the late Vivienne Westwood and many others who have helped shape the fashion industry over the years.
Held for the second year in a row, Vogue World is an event celebrating fashion and art. The philanthropic event will benefit performing arts organisations, including the National Theatre, Royal Opera House, South Bank Sinfonia and Rambert dance company.
