Survivor 46 Episode 4 Recap: A ‘Liability’ Unceremoniously Leaves the Game

IN Survivors 46In last week’s episode “Wackadoodles Win,” the struggling Yanu tribe was saved from going to tribal council after Randen of the Nami tribe was pulled from the game for an MRI, becoming the third player eliminated.

The fourth episode, titled “Don’t Touch the Oven”, explored the aftermath of his medical evacuation – with the successful Nami tribe “heartbroken” by his departure and subsequently reduced to five players.

the castaway must deal with the consequences of oversharing with other tribe members during the voyage. While the untroubled Siga tribe thrives with all six members still on the island, the remaining four Yanu are once again in emotional turmoil after Bhanu reveals that he has given away too much information to two castaways from opposing tribes.

“Bhanu is a hindrance,” said Yanu’s Kenzie, who Bhanu revealed to the two contestants to be the “mothermind” of his tribe, much to her dismay as it puts a clear target on her back.

With their backs against the wall, the Yanu Four finally won their first challenge after eight days of competition — a prize challenge that earned them 10 big fish that host Jeff Probst allowed them to exchange for a coveted tarp and camping gear.

Meanwhile, Siga returned to the camp empty-handed, where the tribe assured Maria that they did not blame her for Siga losing the challenge.

Nami won a smaller amount of fish for second place. Tevin revealed that the fish meant so much to him because, as the montage showed, his late father taught him how to clean fish before he died. Here, Tevin had to use those skills in front of his fellow tribesmen.

After Tevin’s sob story, he returned to strategy. Feeling threatened by Soda’s impressive social skills, he began rallying people to vote against Soda. Liz agreed, saying that Soda was “the one to beat” and that if there was a merger, Soda would easily make it to the final tribal council.

Yanu’s winning spirit was short-lived. At the ninth day’s immunity challenge, Nami and Siga earned immunity, sending Yanu back to tribal council.

Before tribal, Bhanu broke down at camp, begging Kenzie to help him find an idol and falling to his knees to beg Tiffany not to vote him out.

“Five seconds of honesty ruined my game, and that’s how hard this game is,” admitted Bhanu, who lost his voice in the previous episode, referring to his inability to keep tribal information secret.

At tribal council, Bhanu told Probst that he was 100% out.

Probst then asked the other three Yanu players if this was true, to which they all agreed. With no votes, Probst sent Bhana home, an unceremonious move that left a bad taste in some viewers’ mouths.

Survived season 46 airs Wednesdays at 8:00 PM ET/PT on CBS.
