Tara Reade, a former assistant to Senator Joe Biden, made serious allegations against Biden in 2019, accusing him of sexually assaulting her in 1993 when he was a senator from Delaware.
Wiki/Biography
Tara Reid (full name – Tara Reid Moulton) was born on Wednesday, February 26, 1964 (56 years old in 2020) in Monterey County, California, United States. When she was three months old, Reid and her family moved away from California. She grew up in Wisconsin and Georgia.
Reed spent most of her childhood in Wisconsin, where she received her early education and participated in sports such as skiing.
After her parents divorced, Tara Reid moved to Athens, Georgia with her mother and brother Colin. At the age of 17, she moved to California to pursue modeling and acting careers. Later, she moved to Washington, D.C., where in 1992 she was hired as a low-level staffer for then-Delaware Senator Joe Biden.
She also attended Pasadena City College, studying political science, before working as a congressional intern in the office of U.S. Representative Leon Panetta. At the same time, she also worked for Santa Barbara County Supervisor Gloria Ochoa, serving as field manager for Ochoa’s campaign against Representative Michael Huffington. Reed worked as an aide to Joe Biden from December 1992 to August 1993. Afterwards, she worked as an aide to California Senator Jack O’Connell.
In 2004, Tara Reid graduated from Seattle University School of Law; but it was later revealed that she had never obtained the undergraduate degree required for law school admission.
In the mid-2000s, she moved to the Monterey Bay area. In 2007, she claimed discrimination and harassment in the workplace and filed a lawsuit against her employer, the YWCA of Monterey County. That same year, she joined the nonprofit Animal Friends Rescue Project in Pacific Grove, serving as executive director until she was fired in 2009. In 2009, she completed a 10-month training program, Leadership Monterey Peninsula. In the early 2010s, she co-hosted a weekly radio show, Soul Vibes, on the now-defunct local station KNRY. From 2010 to 2011, Reed worked as an education instructor at Hartnell College. In 2012, she filed for bankruptcy, and the list of companies she owed money to included Aladdin Bail Bonds in Salinas; Crossroads Animal Hospital, Central Coast Cardiology, Monterey Peninsula Community Hospital, Cottage Vet Care, Monterey Credit Bureau, Salinas Credit Counseling Services, Grove Market, Hartnell College Parking Enforcement, Monterey Bay Urgent Care, Monterey County Taxation Department and Oceanview Veterinary Hospital.

Her late mother, Jeanette Altimus, was an artist on Cannery Row.
Her father, Robert Reade Moulton, was a sports reporter for the Wausau Daily Herald in the 1960s and later worked in public relations for a defense contractor in Minnesota.
Both her parents died in 2016. Her brother, Collin Moulton, is a stand-up comedian.

Relationships, husbands and children
During her stay in Washington, D.C., Reid met Ted DeLorean, whom she described in a 2009 article:
A 6-foot-4 blond Nordic man with a smile on his face.”
Later, they got married in July 1994 and gave birth to a daughter in November of the same year.
Her ex-boyfriend, Cal Clements, worked with her in the Cedar Shoals High School production of the play Grease, where Reed played Kenickie and Cal played Rizzo.
Abuse in Childhood and Marriage
According to Reed, she had an abusive father; she told her husband this fact, and he later abused her as well. Describing her father’s physical and mental abuse, she once wrote:
My college dreams were thwarted to the point of being an understatement, but the rejections and personal attacks set me up to go out into the world.”
According to court records from 1996, her husband, Ted DeLorean, abused Reed and their then 15-month-old daughter. Reed described numerous violent incidents with her husband, one of which left her with bruises. In 1996, she obtained a temporary restraining order against her husband DeLorean. While DeLorean denied her allegations that he did not care about their daughter, he admitted that he was violent toward Tara Reed in February 1996. However, he refuted other incidents of violence that Reed mentioned in her testimony. According to Tara Reed, she fled her ex-husband after changing her name to Alexandra McCabe. She explained her experience with domestic violence by writing an article for a local online publication, Women’s International Perspectives; the article was published on February 13, 2009.
Working for Joe Biden and the sexual assault allegations against him
In 1992, Tara Reade received an interview call from Biden. In an interview with the Associated Press in 2019, Reade recalled her invitation to work for Biden and said:
I just always wanted to work for Biden. Because at the time he was a champion for women’s legislation, women’s rights legislation.”
According to Reade, when she was interviewed by Biden’s executive assistant, Maryann Baker, Joe Biden walked in, smiled at her and said “hire her.” In 2019, Tara Reade was one of several women who accused Biden of inappropriate touching, such as standing too close, kissing on the head, and unwanted hugs. On April 4, 2019, she contacted The Union, a local newspaper in Grass Valley, California, alleging that Joe Biden had openly touched her neck, tangled his fingers in her hair, and touched her in ways that made her uncomfortable while she was working in the U.S. Senate office. Speaking about her experience working for Biden, she said that the Senator’s office reduced her duties after she refused to serve drinks in the office, even though Biden liked her legs. Later, when she felt excluded, she left Biden’s office in August 1993. Speaking about Biden’s inappropriate touching, she said,
“He used to put his hands on my shoulders and run his fingers along my neck,” Reed said. “I would freeze and wait for him to stop.”
On March 25, 2020, Reade provided more details about Biden’s sexual assault on her. She said that in the spring of 1993, when she went to hand over a sports bag to Biden, Biden pushed her against a cold wall and began kissing her and even penetrated her with his fingers. Recalling the incident, she said,
Everything happened so fast. He was talking to me, his hands were everywhere, everything happened so fast. He was kissing me and whispering, “Do you want to go somewhere else?”
As she drove off, Biden pulled over, according to Reade.
He looked at me, almost a little confused or shocked. He said, “Come on, man, I heard you liked me.” He pointed his finger at me and said, “You’re nothing to me. Nothing.” Then, he grabbed my shoulders and said, “You’re okay, you’re good.”
Biden later denied sexually assaulting Tara Reade and said,
This never happened. While the details of these allegations of sexual harassment and assault are complicated, two things are not. One is that women should be treated with dignity and respect, and when they come forward, they should be heard, not silenced. Two, their stories should be properly investigated and scrutinized.”
On May 7, 2020, she was interviewed by Megyn Kelly on YouTube, in which Reade revealed more details about her sexual assault by Biden.
