Target Announces Diane von Furstenberg Designer Collab — and Yes, It Includes the Iconic Wrap Dress

Target just announced its latest designer collaboration — and it’s iconic.

Launching on March 23, Diane von Furstenberg’s collaboration for Target will include everything from apparel to accessories, housewares to beauty products. And as expected from the DVF collection, everything will include bright colors and prints.

Famous for creating the wrap dress 50 years ago, the von Furstenberg collection would not be complete without its well-known silhouette.

“This is a wrap dress that is as close to the brand as you can get,” she said Vogue version she created with Target. “It’s a colorless jersey dress with long sleeves. And the price is ridiculous. $50.”

The entire collection includes over 200 pieces and starts at just $4, with many pieces priced under $50. The designer also worked closely with her granddaughter Talita von Furstenberg on the project, saying Vogue of what they created, “It’s about celebrating creativity and color and a lifestyle of happiness and cheerfulness. Just things for your life that make you feel good.”

The collection also includes custom-made furniture starting at $300, which can be customized with one of seven different DVF for Target fabrics. Target’s latest collection also boasts customizable collections in a range of sizes for kids. All clothes for babies, toddlers and girls come in adjustable sizes.

As for the prints you will see in the collection, said the designer Vogue which she pulled from her own archives to adapt for Target, as prints have played a large role in the history of her namesake brand. One print is a poppy design resembling an animal print that dates back decades. The other is the ginkgo she said Vogue is a “large print” for the brand because she has always loved it.

The collaboration will be available for purchase online and at select Target stores beginning March 23rd and will be available while supplies last.
