Taylor Swift's Dancer Honors Liverpool in Cute 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' Shoutout During Show

Taylor Swift made a sweet change at her final Eras Tour show in Liverpool.

On Saturday, June 15, during Swift’s third Eras Tour performance at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, England, the singer paid tribute to the city by putting a surprise twist on her song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

In the recording published on X (ex-Twitter), Swift’s dancer Kameron Saunders changed his “Like, ever” exclamation in the song to instead say, “Jog on, lad!” The phrase is used by Scousers – which is a colloquial term for people from Liverpool – and loosely means “to get lost”. Saunders even adopted a Liverpool accent for a change, much to the delight of the crowd, who roared their approval.

Saunders is famous for saying the phrase in the native language of the venue — but he also made a special change during Swift’s first show in Liverpool to mark her 100th performance on the Eras Tour.

In a video shared on TikTok from the concert on Thursday, June 13, the dancer changed the exclamation to “for the 100th time, no.”

Taylor Swift confirms Eras tour will end in December: ‘It feels like we just played our first show’

Earlier in the day, which marked the 100th performance of the tour, the Grammy winner told the crowd that her tour will end at the end of the year.

“Many people ask you: ‘How will you celebrate your 100th performance?’ ” Swift told the crowd on June 13, according to fan-recorded footage. “Celebrating 100 shows for me means this is the first time I’ve admitted to myself that this tour will end in December.”

“It seems so far away, but then again, it feels like we’ve just played our first show on this tour because you’ve made this so much fun for us,” she continued.

“It took over everything. I think I used to have hobbies, but I don’t know what they were anymore because all I do when I’m not on stage is sit at home and try to come up with clever acoustic combinations of songs,” the “Fortnight” singer continued, referring to the acoustic set “surprise songs” he plays for fans at the end of each Eras Tour show.

The singer also stayed up late after the concert on June 13 to watch the Kansas City Chiefs ring ceremony live, where she watched her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his teammates receive their Super Bowl LVIII rings.

Swift tuned into Chariah Gordon’s Instagram Live livestream and shared her excitement in the comments section.

“Joining the party from Liverpool,” Swift wrote. “LET’S GOOOOOOOO!”

Her second performance in the city also saw her praise the “beautiful” crowd in a sweet moment published on X (formerly Twitter).

“I just want to say, on an individual basis, this is one of the most expressive, honest, generous, beautiful audiences I’ve ever had the opportunity to play for,” Swift said.

“I made so many best friends here tonight, you have no idea,” she added.

Swift continued: “I’m so happy to play a show with people like you who want to come to it. Thank you, so, so much for that. I love you Liverpool. Thank you.”

The pop superstar first announced the Eras Tour in November 2022, with 27 concert dates across the United States. She has since added several additional legs to the tour including Latin America, Asia, Australia and Europe, as well as an additional North American leg.

“Just know that I appreciate every bit of effort you’ve made to be with us when this tour hits triple digits – so thank you,” Swift told fans in Liverpool, the Beatles’ birthplace.

Ahead of her arrival in Liverpool, which marked her first appearance in the city, Merseyside Police said they had been working for six months to “make sure the event was safe” in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter).

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming Taylor Swift and the Swifties,” chief superintendent for Liverpool Zoe Thornton told fans in a video. “We know Swifties look out for each other, so keep it up.”

After three nights in Liverpool, Swift will next fly to Cardiff, Wales for her next tour stop.
