Thanks to the US Open earning $75 million in 2024, the tournament in New York currently holds the title of the highest-paying event in tennis. The other Grand Slam tournaments — Wimbledon, the French Open and the Australian Open — also offer significant prize money, but none have reached the level of the US Open this year.
Wimbledon, traditionally considered the most prestigious tournament, offers a total prize pool of around $56 million (GBP 50 million), while the French Open and Australian Open are around $50 million.
However, neither tournament has matched the 15% increase in purses of the US Open this year, cementing its current position at the top of tennis’ financial rankings.
