The Repair Shop star Will Kirk reveals release date for upcoming episodes

Repair Shop star Will Kirk has finally revealed the release date for the remaining episodes of the show’s final season – and so soon!

Taking to the BBC’s official Instagram page, the carpentry expert announced that new episodes will arrive on September 13.

“I have fantastic news!” Will began. “Brand new episodes of The Repair Shop start on September 13 at 8pm on BBC One.

“If you miss something, you can always catch up on BBC iPlayer.”

Fans rushed to the comments section to express their excitement, with one person writing: “Awesome. Keep it up,” while another added: “Awesome can’t wait. I love watching Repair Shop I’m going back to watch the old You all work so amazing job. Good for everyone.”

A third person commented: “Woohoo, that’s great news.”

The release date announcement comes amid an exciting time for the series, which picked up the Daytime gong at the National Television Awards on Tuesday night.

Repair shop first premiered on the BBC in 2017 and has since amassed a legion of dedicated fans, who will be pleased to know that the series has been commissioned for another two years.

Jay announced the good news at the BAFTA TV Awards in May after the program won the Daytime Award. “I think we got two more years, if I’m not mistaken,” he said in the winners’ room. “We’re going to do more. We’ve just won a BAFTA so I think they’ll want us to stay on the air.”

The cast of the series does not hide their close relationship and clearly enjoys filming together. In an interview with The Guardian earlier this year, Jay said: “We spend nine months a year filming, we all stay in the same hotel and eat together, so we’ve become like a family.”
