It was the evening of Friday the 13th when Ruth Langsford took to Instagram to share a video of herself at home eating for one.
She gleefully recounted how her caring son Jack (22) chose and ordered her favorite takeout curry.

Meanwhile, her ex-partner of 28 years, Eamonn Holmes, was hundreds of miles away cruising the Mediterranean with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander.
And yesterday the pair were pictured together in Ibiza in the craziest PDA – which included him grabbing Katie’s bum.
Somehow, Ruth put on a brave face again, this time for charity, and took part in a dementia walk.
Eamonn’s new lover is only 42 years old.

She is young enough to be his daughter.
He and Ruth are both 64 years old.
Many would assume that the rejected Ruth is unfortunate in this public scenario.
But I don’t know.
I think she had a very lucky escape from a man who doesn’t show an iota of respect for their 14 year marriage.
The couple announced their separation in May.

There is no “conscious uncoupling”, no “staying friends” for these two.
Their separation announcement was brutal – they were divorcing.
And Eamonn’s actions since then have also been pretty brutal.
The rot in their marriage had clearly set in as they no longer worked together on This Morning and became like ships in the night with new, separate careers.
But this document revealed that Eamonn had in fact left the matrimonial home after Ruth found messages between him and relationship counselor Katie on a laptop.
The pair have been texting for NINE years, and last year Ruth revealed he had showered her with gifts, including tickets to a Beyonce concert and accompanied her on a trip to a safari park.
After he moved to a rented flat in south-west London, Katie became a visitor. That is very sad.
But marriages break up and men meet younger women.
It’s not the first and it won’t be the last.
Look at Paul Hollywood, Ronnie Wood and Rowan Atkinson.
But then he and Katie went on a luxury vacation.
And that’s where any shred of sympathy for Eamonn completely disappeared.
Flaunting your new romance just weeks after announcing your divorce will always cause pain and hurt to the other person in any breakup.
It’s cutting, selfish and insensitive after such a long marriage.
He didn’t even deign to remove his wedding ring before staring drunkenly at his new, younger model.
Ruth’s Loose Women co-stars said she was doing “great” and that they were supporting her.
Good. Because I could imagine she needs that support now.
Just five years ago, Eamonn said their marriage worked because of “consideration”, while Ruth said it was for “laughs”.
She doesn’t seem to be acting very considerate at the moment – and there probably aren’t many genuine laughs in Ruth’s life.
But I sincerely believe that she will be the one who will have the last laugh.
While he may be rushing headlong into this exciting new chapter of his life, Ruth is doing the sensible thing.
She acts her age and uses that life experience to quietly and slowly think about the future with the support of her strong, long-time friends and the family she loves.
They say there’s no fool like an old fool, and I don’t think there are any words that better describe Eamonn Holmes.

I APPLAUSE Lottie Moss for her honesty.
But I struggle to believe how stupid she was.

The model bought a “diet for weight loss” from a “friend”, injected herself with a large dose, ended up in the hospital and had a seizure.
She took Semaglutide. Under the brand name Wegovy, it is licensed to treat obesity, and Ozempic is licensed to control blood sugar for type 2 diabetics.
It mimics the action of a hormone that tells the pancreas to produce more insulin and makes you feel full.
Lottie like Sparrow took a dose of Ozempic “intended for someone twice her weight”.
If she had gone to the doctor, she would have known that dosing according to weight does not apply.
It may just be a weight loss shot, for those who need it.
But taking medicine without knowing how much to take is crazy.
And using drugs from friends or dubious sites is gambling with death.

FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl is the latest man to have his wife get pregnant behind his wife’s back.

Apparently, he didn’t love his wife of 21 years, Jordyn Blum, quite enough to keep his marriage vows.
But if he wants some advice on how to get back into the good books, he could do worse than contact Kyle Walker, who has miraculously returned to the family home.
He and wife Annie obviously really want to “make it.”
But since Kyle first started dating Annie, he’s fathered two kids with Lauryn Goodman, exposed himself in a bar and fondled another woman, had a party with two sex workers during Covid, texted a Playboy model and hung out in his car with a reality TV star. Laura Brown.
If I were Annie, I would have told him where to go by now.
But I wish them the best of luck – they’ll need it.
A prison farce
HOW Stuart Bennett strutted around looking like he was playing Vicky Pollard’s boyfriend in Little Britain could have been comical.
With his Reebok trainers, Ralph Lauren tracksuit and JD Sports bag full of goodies, he was grinning from ear to ear.

Bennett is one of 1,700 criminals released early by Labor to reduce prison overcrowding.
Among them were thieves, burglars, drug dealers and domestic abusers.
Bennett is a serial thief.
What a shame that he laughs in the face of justice.

The right kind of people

On the same day, Ben, a London taxi driver, drove me to Euston station in his taxi and refused payment.

As for acts of kindness, obviously the star on the scale wins, but Ben’s gesture made me remember the phrase “one good move deserves another” and made me feel kinder this week.
I was late for the train when I hailed a taxi and Ben pulled over.
We messed up and he said he would take me for free since he was going that way anyway.
Ben explained that sometimes he liked to give people a free ride because many people are nice and tip taxi drivers.
Thank you Ben, you brightened my week – and thus the week of the people around me.
Jodie is no joke
POOR Jodie Marsh has complained that her local council is being cruel and unfair to her by refusing her a dangerous wildlife license to keep lemurs at her animal sanctuary.
The 45-year-old former pin-up has now complained, saying: “I feel the council is holding something against me. I have plenty of evidence for that.”

But the council says it refused permission because Jodie saw the 250 animals she has at Fripps Farm, near Great Dunmow, Essex, as pets.
It all stems from claims that she took MEERKAT to the PUB twice.
I bet everyone in her bar breathed a sigh of relief when they heard the latest verdict.
