TikTok Influencer's 'Who TF Did I Marry?' Story to Be Developed Into TV Series Starring Natasha Rothwell

On Wednesday 04.09. Diversity reported that the story of the influencer will be adapted into a television show with Natasha Rothwell set to star and develop the project. Celebrating the news, the Emmy nomination White lotus the actress wrote on Instagram: “I CAN’T STOP. WILL NOT STOP. LFG. @bighattieproductions.”

The news comes after Johnson’s collection of videos — totaling more than eight hours — has garnered nearly half a billion views from curious listeners eager to learn more about Johnson’s ex-husband.

Each installment of the series followed a different lie Johnson claimed her ex-husband told her about his life, followed by her explanation of how she found out. In March, she said GMA that her ex, whom she named Legion, was “funny” and “decent” before that, she claims, only to turn out to be a “pathological liar.”

Viewers quickly latched onto Johnson’s story when she revealed that after the pandemic escalated their relationship, she and Legion moved in together, got married and suffered a miscarriage together.

By January 2021, Johnson said, “I knew I was in serious trouble.”

Soon after, Johnson claims she learned that Legion had been lying about his job and finances and was covering up his criminal past. During the abortion, she said Legion told her he was in a business meeting and had to go to the hospital alone, but she allegedly discovered that wasn’t true either.

“Every ‘I love you’ was a lie. Every ‘I have you’ was a lie,” she said. “It does something to you mentally.”

Johnson filed for divorce after just six months of marriage, claiming that she additionally learned that Legion had lied about going to San Diego State University and that he had tricked her into going to a funeral for someone who was still alive and cheating on her.

“I don’t really get excited anymore,” she said GMA. “I dread the excitement because I went through a whole year and some change of excitement only to have it taken away.”

“I still believe in love,” she continued. “I still believe in marriage. I still want it.”

After sharing her story on social media, Johnson also revealed that she sought therapy to deal with the aftermath of the situation.

“It’s still very much a journey of healing, self-reflection and just loving myself much more than going through that or anything like that, ever again,” she said.

Her ex-husband has since taken to YouTube to rebuke Johnson’s story about their relationship, claiming that Johnson was unfaithful to him, that he was never in financial trouble (he said she “knew for a fact that I had money) and he ” told the truth” during their marriage.
