TikTok Star Madeleine White Turned Her 'Passion for Making Clothes' into Her Own Pajama Collection (Exclusive)

Anyone who follows Madeleine White on TikTok knows that she is the queen of PJs.

The fashion pro — who’s known for her GRWM videos — has also made a name for herself on social media for her skills at flipping clothes, whether it’s something she’s thrifted, pieces she’s bought at Target, or a designer item she’s upcycled to match her mood.

White has taken everything from her background in fashion and her overall “passion for making clothes” and turned it into her own brand, which she launched earlier this month. And she gave him the cutest name that’s totally authentic to her: See you tomorrow, the same sign she uses for all her videos.

White, 28, launched her brand with three sleepwear styles because, she tells PEOPLE, pajamas were something her followers kept asking her about. Since her TikTok videos are so focused on saving, this meant she spent half the time in her PJs.

“There were really limited places where I could find something that I felt was right for my audience, for my demographic on TikTok, which was younger,” White says of wanting to be able to recommend products to her followers. “It’s easy to find great sleepwear [an older demographic]but I definitely felt it was hard to find [for my younger audience]so I thought, ‘Let’s sleep.'”

About two years ago, White says, she first had the idea to start her own clothing brand. Another year passed before she was able to find the right people to help her “bring the vision to life.”

After jumping a few “hurdles” during the production and creation process and many exciting moments, she came up with three silhouettes for the launch: a cover with a cute butterfly detail, a frill top and shorts set, and a comfortable long sleeve dress and long pants PJ set. All three SKUs launched in sizes XXS to 3XL and ranged in price from $105 to $145. Within a week of its initial launch, it sold out, but White admits the reception was mixed.

TikTok star Madeleine White engaged to DJ Andrew Fedyk: ‘Forever sounds good to me’

“We’ve gotten tons and tons of comments from people saying, ‘I wish this was silk or this fabric, tencel, etc.’ And these were all things that we initially decided against because we felt that people wouldn’t want to pay for these fabrications because they are much more expensive, but now we know that there is a demand for it, and we know that people want it, so we will succeed,” he says. she.

But it also gets into the price conversation, which White’s followers were vocal about right after its launch. Scrolling through the social media comments on See You Tomorrow is a land mine of complaints about the price, but what many people may not realize is that White runs a small company that has a lot of overhead — and a very small production line. She also passionately points out to PEOPLE that she both wants to pay all of her employees fairly and charge her customers fairly, so that’s something she’ll continue to examine as she moves forward with the brand.

“People are used to those fast fashion prices, but we’re definitely committed to lowering prices as we expand and get more units,” she says. “We’ve already looked to see what we can do to change that and what we can do to make it as accessible to people as possible, because I never wanted to put anyone off the brand. It’s not like I came in like, ‘We’re ultra-luxury and we don’t want the average consumer buy.’ That’s not the case. You have to pay all your factory workers. We’ll do our best here.”

However, White says people were mostly excited by what she created.

“Everybody loves the product, which I feel is integral here,” she says. “If they like the product, they can work with it. I’d rather have thousands of people say ‘I like the product but the price is too high’ than say ‘I don’t like it. Or I’m bored.’ I can work with the price.”

White has already learned so much about fashion during this process and is committed to continuing to learn. Despite coming from a background in modelling, fashion TikTok and creating her own clothes, she says this whole experience was very different.

“It’s hard being the boss, but I really enjoy it,” she says. “I do make my own clothes though. I know how to make a garment. I thought I knew everything it took to make something like a bralette, but learning the production side was new, but I’m learning.”

It doesn’t stop at sleepwear either. Her original vision for See You Tomorrow was to be ambiguous enough to live on as a ready-to-wear brand—and outlive her. Yes, you read that right. White hopes that one day, See you tomorrow, he will be alone without her.

“I hope and pray that one day after I delete social media and have a bunch of horses somewhere, the brand will be able to move on, and the brand will become ingrained in people’s minds as See You Tomorrow and not as my brand,” she says. .

White is still figuring out what each dropped collection will look like, but he wants key pieces — like sleepwear — to always be in stock once he’s ironed out production and the supply chain. She is also working on apparel and hopes to host events and pop-ups as the company grows.

For now, she and her team are working to restore the current collection — which will be available at SeeYouTomorrow.com.
