Tom Cruise could be one of the greatest entertainers in the world, with a new movie Mission Impossible the movie comes out this July, but the game recognizes the game.
The 60-year-old actor took to Instagram a rare personal post where he shared his excitement for some of the upcoming summer blockbusters that will compete with MI: Reckoning of the Dead, Part One – and, after the pandemic wreaked havoc at the box office, encouraged fans to get off the couch for that priceless cinema experience.
Chief among them, due out later this week, is Harrison Ford’s final film as Indiana Jonesfifth in franchise, Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fate.

“This summer is packed with great movies to see in theaters. These are just a few that we can’t wait to see on the big screen,” Tom’s post read.

The box office legend has received supportive comments from fans such as: “Recommend your colleague’s work in the contest, great!” and: “This is why Tom Cruise is a CAPRICORN. He cares about the entire industry as a whole, not just his movies.”

MI7 will hit theaters on July 12, and at the UK premiere, Tom spoke privately with HELLO! about some of his favorite memories from the franchise.

“I have a lot so it’s hard,” he said HELLO!.
“[1996’s first Mission: Impossible] was the first movie I produced. So to be here and doing this for decades to come, you know, to be here in Leicester Square and to do this premiere, it’s so special. And with them too – to be able to look at this cast and see how hard they’ve worked… we’re really excited to share that with the audience.”

Meanwhile, 80-year-old Ford is in the process of promoting his time as the head of his own successful franchise, and in April told Total Film magazine that this is his last bow as Indiana Jones.

“This is the last film in the series and this is my last time playing the character. I predict this will be the last time he appears in a movie,” he said.
Ford was also asked about a TV show reportedly working with Disney+ that could bring the character back, though he said he “wouldn’t be involved in that, if it were to happen.”
