Travis Kelce and the Chiefs Win Fifth Straight Game as Taylor Swift Celebrates with Their Families

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are in the game!

The defending Super Bowl champions — who are looking to become the first team to win three consecutive titles in NFL history — cruised to a 26-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City as Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift celebrated the win with members of both their families.

Swift, 34, cheered on Kelce — who turned 35 on Saturday, Oct. 5 — along with the NFL star’s family: parents Donna and Ed Kelce, Travis’ brother Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie (Jason was elsewhere fulfilling his ESPN broadcasting duties -a) and her father Scott Swift during the Week 5 matchup in Kansas City.

The Chiefs’ win over the Saints puts them at a perfect 5-0 on the current NFL season.

Before the Chiefs’ Week 4 game in Los Angeles (they beat the Chargers 17-10 on Sept. 29), Kelce got off to a slower start than in previous seasons.

The tight end said earlier this month that he wasn’t concerned about his slow start and that he could have gotten more touches in the previous two weeks.

In the episode of his September 18 New heights podcast with Jason, Travis said that he no longer worries about poor performances on the court.

“I used to get very, very angry and almost lose my cool a lot of the time because I didn’t have that success knowing that I was demanding it from myself and I just love playing the game at such a high level of responsibility that it’s just hard for me to deal with being average or that I have statistics to represent it,” Travis said.

He continued: “For whatever reason, these last two games haven’t gone my way and that’s football, man. I’m not going to sit here and be frustrated about it.”

Meanwhile, Chiefs running back Patrick Mahomes also expressed his opinion on Travis’ stats in an interview this season.

“It is obvious that we played with two opponents [Ravens, Bengals] we played a lot, so they have a plan to deal with Travis,” said the reigning Super Bowl MVP.

“But as the season goes on, I mean, he’s going to get his catches, he’s going to get his yards, but the leader that he is, what’s special is that he lifts everybody up, keeps everybody motivated, and that’s what you need from your big players,” Mahomes added.

The Chiefs have their bye week and will next take the field against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, October 20th.
