Travis Kelce looked as trendy as ever as he headed to the locker room ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ home game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
The tight end, 34, wore a fall-appropriate red plaid shirt with a cream check and front pocket. While his shirt may sound tame by Kelce’s usual standards, there was a fun detail on the back: it said “Ice Cream.” He paired the shirt with a pair of beige pants with black diamond detailing.
Meanwhile, in the stands, Taylor Swift cheered on her new boyfriend with a #87 friendship bracelet.
Kelce’s stylish kit should come as no surprise to his fans. The Chiefs player is almost as famous for his bold fashion choices as he is for his skills on the field — not to mention his growing relationship with Swift.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, a self-described “impulse shopper,” revealed that she enjoys putting together her unique look. In fact, he can devote as much as three hours to selecting the right pre-match look from his extensive wardrobe.
“Obviously not every look is for everyone,” Kelce said, noting the criticism he’s received for some of his ensembles. “I won’t be offended if someone says I look like a clown if I have a fun hat and some funky jeans. It is what it is, I’m going to have fun with it.”

“I mostly do it to put a smile on someone’s face,” he added.

However, coming up with the perfect outfit can be a pain even though Kelce has many outfits to choose from. “It really just comes down to the wire,” he told the outlet. “I kind of enjoy the creative process of panicking to just put something together.”
Even if Kelce’s game-day tailoring choices aren’t to everyone’s taste, no one can accuse the football player of wearing boring clothes. After the Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24—which also happened to be the first game Swift, 33, attended—he faced internet trolling for wearing a matching denim jacket and blue-print jeans from KidSuper Studio.
The brand later renamed the outfit in honor of Kelce’s date with Swift after the game. Originally titled “The Bedroom Painting,” the set is now called “1989 Bedroom Painting,” a nod to Swift’s 2014 album. in 1989which the singer-songwriter is reissuing on October 27.

Kelce previously told PEOPLE that he is a “huge online shopper,” constantly scrolling the web in search of the next unique style to add to his ever-growing clothing collection. The two-time Super Bowl winner also explained for WSJ that money gave him more opportunities to hone his personal style.
“The money gave me access to certain designers and only certain fabrics that I now absolutely love,” he told the outlet. But even though he can afford a high-end look, Kelce is just as likely to go out on a date night or a pre-game appearance wearing a little-known designer he discovered through his browsing.
While most of his teammates wear the standard sweatpants football uniform, Kelce seems to enjoy making his pregame look as memorable as the outfit he wears when he’s out on the town.
