“The actor who played my daughter [in Groomsmen]she’s a big Swiftie, so she introduced me to Taylor Swift in preparation for the second movie,” he revealed on Oct. 3. “So it was a dream. I appreciate that.”

In one scene, Hynes’ character even wears a Swiftie-esque friendship bracelet with his on-screen daughter. It says “Hynies” — the name of the Hynes fandom — and was given to him by a fan at a convention. He wore it for her and as a “silent nod” to his fans. Hallmark and the Kansas City Chiefs are teaming up for a new Christmas movie starring Tyler Hynes and Hunter King

Hallmark announced a partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs on June 25, sharing that a Chiefs-inspired love story starring Hynes and Hunter King will be coming to the network.

IN Holiday Touchdown: The Chiefs’ Love StoryKing’s character, Alana Higman, is a Chiefs superfan who will stop at nothing to win the team’s “Fan of the Year” competition on behalf of her family of lifelong fans. “As the couple spends time together, it’s clear that there’s a spark between them,” according to the official synopsis, which goes on to say that challenges arise when Alana’s grandfather (Ed Begley Jr.) “the old Chiefs good luck winter hat goes missing.”

“Alana begins to doubt everything she’s believed about fate, destiny, and even questions her future with Derrick—unless, that is, a little Christmas magic can conjure up a Hail Mary,” it concludes.

Hynes said he’s excited for fans to see everything he’s been working on. When it came to shooting the film godfathers, which also stars Jonathan Bennett and BJ Britt, admitted that taking on the role of a father was something he was not used to.

“I think I’ve played a father before, but it was the first time in a while that I’ve played a father to someone this age,” he explained. “And again, it seems unique in its approach. You’d think the last movie would be a big bang. How to top the previous two films? And it didn’t, which I’m very proud of again because Jonathan’s film is a big colorful spectacle. And the third film, I hope it seems like this to you, seemed like a more intimate story about all of us and the entire cast and my daughter.”

As for the “bromance” of it all, Hynes added that’s part of the appeal of the role for him.

“Jonathan, his idea is what it really boils down to, he approached me in the hotel awkwardly and asked me if I wanted to make a film about guys getting married, about friendships and gentlemen helping each other at these turning points in their lives. lives centered around weddings,” he said. “And I thought it was a really nice idea and a good excuse to spend time together. We became friends.”
