The 2024 BET Awards are a family affair for Usher!
The superstar hit the red carpet alongside his wife Jennifer Goicoechea Raymond, mom Jonnetta Patton, sons Naviyd Raymond and Usher “Cinco” Raymond V and brother J. Lack.
He also brought his simply cool sense of style wearing a white blazer and shirt, with light washed jeans, black boots, a black belt and matching sunglasses. His family also matched, with Patton wearing a chic all-white suit and Jennifer in a black midi dress with gold buttons. His sons wore black suits with sneakers along with music producer J. Lack.

In addition to his four BET Award nominations, the hitmaker is slated to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes “special achievements and distinguished public service” among industry pioneers “who have profoundly changed the culture and entertainment industry.”

The accolade will only add to his respectable collection of five BET Awards – the last of which tied with star and former collaborator Chris Brown for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist at the 2023 ceremony.

In a public outing earlier this month, Usher sported a similar style, showing off a stylish maroon suit on the carpet at the Apollo Theater Spring Benefit with his wife, where he was honored with an icon award. For her part, Jennifer looked chic in a black and white embroidered clutch, worn under an LBD with black leggings, gloves and a crystal camera bag. The couple tied the knot in a small ceremony in Las Vegas shortly after his Super Bowl halftime performance in February. Usher and Jennifer have a daughter, Sovereign Bo, 3, and a son, Sire Castrello, 2.

During his acceptance speech, Usher made sure to thank those who have supported him throughout his career before giving a special shout out to his wife.
“Last and certainly not least, without your love, passion, support to my best friend Jennifer Raymond. I love you baby,” he said. “My wife, who is in the audience tonight. Thank you for your support and I’m so happy we were able to do this together. Mother’s days are so great. I hope you all join me on Father’s Day.”

Earlier this year, Usher proved he looks just as good shirtless during his career at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February, where he stripped down to reveal his abs while singing his catalog of hits. During his 13-minute performance on one of music’s biggest stages, the “OMG” crooner rocked a floor-length woolen coat, a sparkly T-shirt, a blue and black bodysuit and, of course, his iconic roller skates.
