Victoria and David Beckham Celebrate Their 25th Wedding Anniversary: 'We Still Got It'

Victoria and David Beckham don’t do anything casual. Case in point: their Instagram posts are celebrating their 25th anniversary.

The couple, who married on July 4, 1999, shared separate heartfelt posts on the Fourth of July. Victoria, 50, shared a series of photos from the couple’s wedding celebrations and preparations all those years ago. In her Instagram caption, she detailed what all the pictures depicted – along with cheeky comments.

The former Spajsica’s post began with a sweet photo of her and her then-husband-to-be as they twirled on their thrones. In another photo, Victoria is seen beaming for the camera as she sits on a throne ahead of her wedding. She also shared several photos documenting how the luxury chairs were transported by plane to the celebration.

“@DavidBeckham and I are testing the size of our iconic thrones,” she wrote in the caption. “It’s clear that I loved mine from the very beginning!

The fashion designer also shared an adorable photo taken on a private plane when their now 25-year-old Brooklyn was still small enough to sit on his dad’s lap. In the video, David (49), his mother Sandra and Victoria’s brother and sister, Christian and Louise, are also on board.

“Flying in style,” she wrote. “Lots of legroom as you can see 😂.”

She also shared a cheeky photo of David sitting shirtless at the kitchen table writing his vows in a writing pad, and joked in the caption that he “looks very focused!”

The carousel continued with photos of Victoria in her cuts, including a Vera Wang satin, strapless corseted ball gown and her iconic purple reception dress.

Along with sharing photos of the preparations for their big day, she also included a shot of the couple’s wedding cake.

“Who could forget that cake and those bare fondant toppings?! 🤣”, she wrote in the description.

David shared his celebratory post, including a photo montage from their wedding. He also included a shot of Victoria in her purple dress 25 years later.

“We still have 💜 😆 @victoriabeckham Love You 💜,” he wrote in the caption.

In addition to sharing the video, he posted a series of Instagram stories to commemorate the day, showing the couple’s preparations for the wedding, along with their son Brooklyn’s preparations.

These posts follow the already epic post the couple shared on July 3, where the two reverted to their iconic purple wedding outfits for an Instagram post.

“Look what we found…” the couple wrote on Instagram.

It’s hard to tell if it’s the original outfit or not, but the daring purple suit and bodycon dress with floral accents look exactly like the Antonio Berardi look they rocked for their big day in 1999.

To modernize the look for their 25th anniversary, Victoria wore calf-high silver heels and wore her long brown hair down – a contrast to her short wedding day hairstyle.

David, on the other hand, has many more tattoos in his updated photo – and far fewer highlights. Other than that, his style is quite similar. He completed his suit with matching purple shoes and his wife’s gentle look.

The couple, who have four children, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, 25, Romeo Beckham, 21, Cruz Beckham, 19, and Harper Beckham, 12, originally met at a soccer match (when David was playing for Manchester United and Victoria was was still Posh Spice), they got engaged a year later and married in 1999 in Ireland.

During the May 2024 appearance on Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett SmartLess podcast, David shared the secret to his long marriage: leaning on each other through thick and thin.

“Of course, when you’re with someone for so long, of course you have your ups and downs, everyone knows that and at the end of the day we were happy because we had each other in those moments,” he said. .
