Vanderpump he can rule, but not when it comes down to it being a villain, obviously.
Jax Taylor was kicked out by his own House of villains cast in Thursday’s episode, making him the first eliminator of the season. But Vanderpump Rules The alum, 44, claims that viewers have not seen the last of him.
“You think the #1 guy is going to go that easy? I don’t think so,” Taylor tells PEOPLE, talking about one of her most memorable events VPR read. “I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be back. I’m definitely coming back. Don’t worry.”

Taylor, 44, thinks his colleagues — who include ChallengeJohnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, Love is blind‘s Shake Chatterjee, Survived‘s Jonny Fairplay, Trainee‘s Omarosa Manigault Newman and The taste of loveTiffany “New York” Pollard — targeted him for his athleticism.
“It was 100 percent, that was the reason,” he says. “I’m a physical threat. I dominate them in everything I do. I am athletically built. I’m an alpha male. I dominate them in everything I do. It’s between me and Johnny Bananas as far as the dominant man in the house is concerned. And that’s perfectly fine.”
Manigault Newman, 49, put Taylor in elimination along with Chatterjee, 36, and Bachelor alum of Corinne Olympios.
“Omarosa wasn’t just trying to get me out,” Taylor claims. “Omarosa is a very big character; she and New York, they are characters. They play off the script. They want to look like these sinister figures. Everything is for show. She is a great person. they are all great people, except one.”
Taylor, of course, is on his own House of villains enemy: Chatterjee.
“I don’t like the kind of person he is,” says the Bravo vet. “He is a very immature person. And I have to realize that I was so immature too. There’s a lot of growing up to do. He has a lot of rights and I think he was very, very happy to be on that show considering the people he was on the show with. Everyone who was on House of villains they are real icons. I don’t consider him an icon.”

Taylor thinks Chatterjee got lucky on his way to the show. “I think he did something stupid on TV and he got lucky,” Taylor continues. “He was like a lottery winner of all.”
On House of villains, Chatterjee stated that he did not think Taylor needed the $200,000 prize money because of his other businesses and partnerships. Taylor says the assumption came from a conversation he had with Chatterjee in which the Netflix star asked about his career.
“He was Googling everything at night trying to find out what everyone did for a living. And he says, ‘You’re really good for yourself,'” Taylor claims of Chatterjee. “I wish I had met someone like me when I started in reality TV, so I was trying to give him my book. I was saying, ‘I’ve been doing this for a decade, but I had to get away. This didn’t just happen to me. You have to work for it. Being on reality TV is a blessing, but they gave me a platform and then you have to do the rest. You have to build a brand.’”

Taylor says he got the feeling Chatterjee was “struggling” and “not really loving his job” as a vet and loan officer.
“He doesn’t make a lot of money, he lives in an apartment and he gave me a bit of a break,” says the dad of 2-year-old Cruz. “I felt that little vulnerability, so I thought, I’ll be a little vulnerable too. I thought, ‘I’ll give you some advice, so you don’t make so many bad decisions.’ And he took it as: ‘He’s arrogant, conceited, he doesn’t need this.’ And when I heard that, I said, ‘You son of a bitch. You used it against me.’ I entered the House of villains because I was the nicest guy there and I screwed up.”

Taylor showed even more vulnerability when he broke down in tears after Pollard, 41, called him a “demon”.
“I took that to heart,” he says. “This is the first time I have become emotional on television. It was a real tear. I said, ‘You don’t even know me. You met me five minutes ago and you call me a demon.’”
Taylor and Pollard agreed on Villain’s housepremiere party earlier this month, but the situation made him realize the difference between his background and those of his co-stars.
“I come from a reality show that actually follows our lives, not these shows that try to be other people and stuff like that,” Taylor says. “I didn’t realize what a piece of shit she was. I shouldn’t have been offended by that, but I was. But it wasn’t until I left the show that I realized who these people were and what they were doing and their games. Because after the cameras are gone, it’s not the same people anymore. I am the same person.”

The When reality hits The podcast co-host says he was “super intimidated” by some of his female colleagues. “They are so good at what they do and I was amazed,” says Taylor. “Tanisha, Omarosa, New York, those women are the most terrifying human beings. They are scary, in a good way, but they are scary. You just want to be on their good side.”
Taylor admits he “needed to learn a bit more” about how his fellow cast members’ shows work, as he felt a bit at a disadvantage going up against the likes of Devenanzio, 41, and Fairplay, 49, who are coming from competition shows.
“I didn’t do any research at all,” says Taylor. “I should have watched Survived, Big BrotherMTV Challenge.”

Taylor has also been out of the reality TV game for a while. He went VPR in 2020 and calls the time he spends away “refreshing.”
“I’d been on reality TV for almost a decade and I just needed a break,” Taylor says. “Vanderpump Rules is a very intense show. I can handle almost anything, but even the toughest guys like me can get a little worn out. I needed to recharge my batteries. I need to get back in touch with my wife. I should have had a child. And I just needed to get back to normal.”

These days, Taylor doesn’t think of himself as a bad guy. “That villain, he’s just not what he used to be,” he says. “Now I have a wife, I have a child, so I have to work hard to be that ‘ass’. I needed that guy for this and he just wasn’t there. It was a blessing to be in that house with those legends, but I was definitely out of my element on that show.”
