Watch dealer Oliver White dies days after robbers put him in chokehold to steal high value timepieces in London heist

A WATCH dealer has died just days after robbers forced him to steal high-value watches.

Oliver White died two days after he was attacked in a jewelery store in Richmond, south-west London, at around 2.50pm on Saturday.

After the robbery, the police released pictures of the two men they want to locate.

The men, who were not armed, entered the shop on Kew Road and attacked Oliver before stealing a quantity of high-value watches.

Oliver was not seriously injured.

However, police have confirmed that the victim, from Surrey, has died.

His death is not being treated as suspicious, officers said.

His devastated girlfriend shared a heartbreaking Instagram post to pay tribute to her partner of six years.

She wrote: “My dear boy, I can’t believe you’re gone. I’ll never see you again.

“The last thing you said to me was that I love you. I will cherish you forever, being with you was the best 6 years of my life. I hope you are reading this from above, I will continue to make you proud.”

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “We are aware of the death of a man in Surrey on Sunday 26 May.

“This is being investigated by Surrey Constables and is not currently being treated as suspicious.

“The man who died was the victim of a robbery at a jewelry store in Richmond on Saturday, May 25.

“We ask that his family’s privacy is respected at this difficult time and that moving CCTV footage of the incident involving the victim is not shared on social media.”
