Watch The Voice Coaches Cast Their Votes in Jacquie Roar and Bias’ Battle Round: ‘This Is Rough’

Vote coaches make tough decisions!

In a clip from Monday’s episode, contestants Bias and Jacquie Roar performed a stunning rendition of Jelly Roll’s “Need a Favor” for their battle round.

In the battle round, two contestants on the same team compete against each other and their coach determines who sang the best song. In this case, it’s coach Gwen Stefani.

After the duo’s performance, each coach offered feedback before making a decision on who should remain in the competition.

“You two were a blast. I enjoyed every moment. Jacquie, your voice is so powerful and your range is so beautiful,” says coach John Legend, 44. “Bias, I couldn’t take my eyes off you. I think Bias – felt I am the power of the star that comes from you.”

Coach Reba McEntire was impressed by their energy together — and by Roar’s fringe suit.

“Wow! I had so much fun. You’re both so full of energy. Jacquie, your vocals are really, really strong. Bias, you’re just jumping around so excited,” says McEntire, 68. “I’d have to say Jacquie.”

“I can’t believe what I’ve just seen. Jacquie, your voice is just crazy. It’s so hard to sing a song like that and have so much control,” added trainer Niall Horan, 30. “Bias was so much fun to watch. Sometimes people will watch you and forget how good a singer you really are just because they’re watching your stage presence. This is gross. I’m leaning towards Bias.”

The video ends with Stefani complimenting both contestants – and Legend says she has a “tough decision” to make.

“The bias of your amazing character of who you are is so strong,” says the “Cool” singer. “It’s really hard, like John said, to look away from you.”

“Jacquie you are everything. You are beautiful. You have so much confidence. Your voice can do anything,” she adds. “You have to help me with this because I’m so confused.”

The results will be announced on Monday’s episode on NBC at 8:00 PM ET.

The rounds of fighting began on October 17. Ephraim Owens and Jackson Snelling were sent home while Deejay Young, Jordan Rainer, Lennon VanderDoes and Tanner Massey advanced to the next round.
