Tortured Turkish DJ tried to comfort the girl
A popular Turkish DJ who was “horribly tortured” to death in London tried to comfort his mistress while she was blindfolded in a bathroom, according to chilling court hearings. On October 13, 2022, Mehmet Koray Alpergin (43) and his girlfriend Gozda Dalbudak (34) were abducted by six men as they were leaving a high-end Italian restaurant in Mayfair. They were taken to a location near Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The jury was told they were escorted into a closed wine shop, where Dalbudak was placed in a dark toilet while Alpergin was attacked, scalded with hot water and stabbed while standing.
Alpergin tried to comfort his girlfriend, who had only arrived in the UK three days earlier, even as he was being cruelly abused, according to Metro. Dalbudak heard her partner shouting at her: “My love, don’t be afraid,” prosecutor Crispin Aylett told the court. She heard him say: “I’m sorry, my love”, but he was interrupted by Alpergin, the owner of the Turkish radio station Bizim FM, shouting and screaming in agony. At the trial of six London men accused of murder, kidnapping, false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice, Alpergin’s terrifying final minutes were detailed Thursday. On October 15, DJ’s naked body was left in the woods, where it was later found by a dog walker.
Dalbudak claimed that after the kidnapping, thugs attacked her in the face and knocked her out. Before being released, she was locked in the toilet for more than two days. Just three days before the horrific abduction, she had traveled to the UK for the first time from Turkey, the court was told on Thursday. According to Metro, prosecutor Aylett told the court: “This was her first and no doubt her last visit to the UK.” On October 21, 2022, Ms. Dalbudak returned to Turkey. She has not returned to the UK, despite continuing to communicate with London police, he added.
