We know apocalypse is coming – we’ve hoarded YEARS worth of weapons & food after spy balloon proved world is doomed

A COUPLE preparing for the apocalypse have revealed they spent years hoarding food and weapons to survive the end of the world – and are encouraging others to do the same.

Montana residents Colton and Carrie told The Sun they are professional “preparers” and will go to great lengths to defend their supplies if disaster strikes.

As Russia continues its relentless assault on Ukraine and Israel bombs Gaza, the threat of World War II is closer than ever.

Carrie and Colton believe the key is to prepare in the best possible way and want to help others follow in their footsteps.

The eccentric couple went into action preparing after a Chinese spy balloon “terrified” them and sparked security fears.

Alarm bells went off in 2023 when a giant white balloon hovered over North American airspace and was promptly shot down.

The Pentagon believed it was part of a “surveillance” operation, but the Chinese government claimed it was a civilian zeppelin that had veered off course.

Carrie said: “I went a bit crazy, I thought, oh my God, we’re letting an object from another country just cruise over us.

“We have no control over what it’s doing. We don’t know what it’s doing, what kind of information it’s grabbing.”

The pair, in their mid-30s, are stockpiling food, firearms and other survival gear to avoid detection.

They now have a social media channel teaching others how to be prepared for anything from a natural disaster to an all-out global conflict.

Despite their social media presence, the organized couple rarely appear online and are reluctant to share any personal information.

Carrie explains that it’s a “security measure” and fears that people might show up at her house to “invade” their supplies if they know where she is in the middle of a crisis.

She added: “Typically we try to keep a low profile and just try to be discreet. We don’t try to overdo or highlight anything that we have.”

For this reason, both Carrie and her partner take self-defense very seriously and have “various firearms” that they’re not afraid to use when push comes to shove.

“You can never have enough ammo,” Carrie said.

She added: “You will have to protect yourself and your family.”

The couple thinks they have enough food to gather and survive for two years, but they still admit that their hyper-organization can only go so far.

When asked about her worst-case scenario, Carrie said, “Something nuclear.”

“I think your chances of survival there are pretty slim. But I think it’s a bit more realistic that they could cut our power grid.”

Carrie believes everyone should prepare and insists that she and Colton are just “a normal couple who likes to prepare.”

“Just think about everything you need on a daily basis, whether it’s hygiene products, laundry detergent, portable shower tools that you can access, emergency water, self-defense supplies, extra propane gas, medicine,” she said.

Expert organizers have made sure that nothing is left unturned and even have puzzles, books and card games to stave off boredom during the apocalypse.

Even though Carrie and Colton only recently started getting ready, it’s a practice that’s in Carrie’s blood.

“I actually grew up with my dad and he’s the one who put the whole preparedness mindset in my head, for example he told me to get emergency equipment for my vehicle.

“So I think our families get along. They understand,” Carrie said.

She also told The Sun her top tips for getting ready, saying: “I usually recommend people make a bug out bag. So just get a rucksack and put some survival stuff in there.

“Whether it’s food, water, a pocket knife, a compass, a survival tent, it’s something affordable that anyone can do,” she said.

Carrie and Colton have an army of more than 220,000 followers on a TikTok account called “Housewife Prepper” where they share tips on preparing for all scenarios including an AI takeover.

Some viewers have questioned whether the couple are “glued to the news” in a state of constant anxiety, but Carrie insists it’s the opposite and that stockpiling is actually “comforting”.

Some followers also expressed their fear that they will not have enough money to prepare.

One wrote: “So half of us if not more are broke right now trying to feed our family so I don’t think we can afford any of that.”

“We can barely afford a life, let alone a whole spare life,” agreed another.

But the couple reassured them with a reply: “If you look at my Amazon storefront, there are actually a ton of affordable options. Many under $10.”

When were Chinese ‘spy’ balloons first spotted?

In January 2023, a Chinese ‘spy’ balloon was spotted floating in North American airspace before being shot down by the US Air Force on February 4.

Debris from the wreckage was recovered and analyzed and the balloon appeared to be carrying intelligence gathering equipment.

The Chinese government vehemently denied it was a surveillance balloon and claimed the zeppelin was a civilian weather tracking device.

President Joe Biden said he believed Chinese officials were unaware of the balloon before the US claimed the device had simply veered off course.

But as three more floating objects appeared over US airspace, tensions between America and China increased.

States called the balloon’s presence a violation of sovereignty, and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken postponed his trip to Beijing.

Suspected Chinese spy balloons have already been detected over the US, over Guam, Hawaii and Florida.
