Where to Stream All the Golden Globe-Nominated Movies and TV Shows

The Golden Globes are kicking off the 2024 awards season with some of the biggest movies and TV shows released in 2023.

The awards show is set to air live on CBS on Jan. 7, 2024, following the release of the nominations in December. Topping the leaderboard with the most nominations for movies is Barbie with nine, Oppenheimer with eight and Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things with seven. In television, Succession leads with nine nominations, while The Bear and Only Murders in the Building both snagged five nods.

While some of the nominated pictures are still being released in theaters, many are already available on streaming platforms from Netflix to Hulu. The Globes themselves will be streaming live on Paramount+ and on the CBS app.

From Barbie to The Last of Us, here’s where to stream the 2024 Golden Globe-nominated movies and TV shows.

Movies

Following Barbie-outfitted Margot Robbie and Kenergy-filled Ryan Gosling’s press tour, Barbie painted the town pink in the summer of 2023 when it had a huge blockbuster premiere. The movie is currently streaming streaming on Max.

It racked up nine nominations, including best motion picture and best actress in a musical or comedy and best supporting actor. Greta Gerwig also earned two nominations, one for best director and one for best screenwriting alongside her husband, Noah Baumbach.

Oppenheimer

The Christopher Nolan-directed movie came in second for most nominations after Barbie — which made sense after their joint “Barbenheimer” press buzz. The movie, inspired by the true story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, who invented the atomic bomb, isn’t on streaming but can be purchased on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV, among other platforms.

The movie is nominated for best picture in the drama category and also earned Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt best actor and best supporting actress nominations, respectively.

Killers of the Flower Moon

Paramount Pictures

After its October theatrical release, Killers of the Flower Moon is now available to rent on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV. The Leonardo DiCaprio-led movie follows the true story of the Osage murders after oil was discovered on their land.

In addition to best picture in the drama category, Killers earned another six nominations, including for DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and director Martin Scorsese.

Poor Things

The comedy Poor Things follows the story of Bella (Emma Stone), who is brought back from the dead in a Frankenstein manner. While it’s unavailable to stream, and details of when it will be have yet to be announced, the movie had a limited theatrical release on Dec. 8 and will hit all theaters on Dec. 22.

Stone is nominated for best actress while both Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo are up for best supporting actor. The film’s other three nominations include best director, best screenplay and best original score.

Anatomy of a Fall

Madman Films

With four nominations — best motion picture, best actress, best screenplay and best motion picture – non-English language — Anatomy of a Fall is a frontrunner. After winning the grand prize at Cannes Film Festival in 2023, it caught critics and audience’s attention.

However, the movie is not available to stream yet. It can be pre-ordered on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.

Maestro

Bradley Cooper put a smile on his fans’ faces when he walked the red carpet at the premiere of Maestro with his daughter, Lea De Seine, in December 2023. The movie releases on Netflix on Dec. 20 after being shown in select theaters in November.

It is also up for four awards: best motion picture, best actress, best actor and best director. The latter two are both for Cooper, who starred in and directed the movie.

Past Lives

The A24-produced movie was released in the summer of 2023, however, it is not yet available on streaming, but can be rented on Amazon Prime Video. It nabbed five nominations for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, including one for best motion picture in a non-English language.

The film follows the story of two childhood friends, Nora and Hae Sung, who reunite decades after Nora’s family emigrated to the U.S. from South Korea.

The Zone of Interest

Another contender in the best motion picture category in both drama and non-English language is The Zone of Interest. The movie tells the story of a Nazi commandant who tries to build a beautiful life for his family next to the Auschwitz concentration camp.

The film was released in limited theaters in New York City and Los Angeles on Dec. 15, but will have a wider release at a later date.

Air

The Ben Affleck- and Matt Damon-led Air, which tells the story of Nike founder Phil Knight’s collaboration with NBA legend Michael Jordan, was originally released in April 2023. Now, it’s available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

It picked up two nominations at the Globes, including one for best motion picture in a comedy or musical and one best actor nomination for Damon.

American Fiction

Similar to The Zone of Interest, American Fiction was also released in limited theaters on Dec. 15 and will expand to a wider audience on Dec. 22. The movie is nominated for best motion picture in a comedy or musical and Jeffery Wright is nominated for best actor.

The Holdovers

The Holdovers earned three Golden Globe nominations following its theatrical release in November 2023. Though it has mostly left theaters, it is not yet available to be streamed. However, it can be purchased on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.

May December

Though it may be nominated under the best motion picture – comedy or musical genre, the true story of May December is far more serious. It is inspired by the true story of Mary Kay Letourneau and her illegal relationship with her then-student Vili Fualaau.

The movie came out on Netflix on Dec. 1 and found success during awards season, with four nominations total. The main cast — Charles Melton, Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman — are all nominated for their performances.

TV Shows

Succession

The final season of Succession aired on HBO and streamed on Max in 2023, with the series finale released in May. The show wracked up eight nominations, with three of the six nominees in the best actor in a drama category taken up by Succession stars Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin.

The show continues to be available to stream on Max.

The Last of Us

Another fan favorite in 2023 was The Last of Us, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. It nabbed three nominations — one for each of them as well as best television series in the drama category.

Like Succession, the show aired on HBO and streamed on Max and is still available on the platform.

Only Murders in the Building

Following Succession, Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building has the most nominations, tying with The Bear at five. The three leads — Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin — are all nominated once again, as well as supporting star Meryl Streep.

The third season of the series followed the murder of Paul Rudd’s character and is available to stream on Hulu.

The Bear

Another success for Hulu this year was the second season of The Bear, which followed Carmy’s (Jeremy Allen White) life as he opened his new restaurant alongside fellow chef Sydney (Ayo Edibiri). Both leads are nominated, as well as Ebon Moss-Bachrach for his supporting role as Carmy’s cousin.

The show was released on Hulu and continues to be available to stream on the platform.

1923

The Yellowstone spin-off earned two nominations this year for best television series in the drama category as well as a nomination for Helen Mirren in the ​​best performance by a female actor in a television series – drama category.

The full first season of 1923 is available on Paramount+.

The Crown

The final installment of The Crown came out in November and December 2023, but it was the fifth season’s stars that were nominated for the 2024 Golden Globes. The show scored four nominations, including ones for Imelda Staunton, Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki.

The show — including the final sixth season — is available to stream on Netflix.

The Diplomat

The Diplomat earned two nominations at the Globes, including for best television series, drama and a best actress nomination for Keri Russell. The show followed Kate Wyler, who struggles to balance her job as a diplomat and her marriage to a political star.

The Morning Show

Now in its third season, The Morning Show earned two nominations at the Globes, including a best supporting actor nod for Billy Crudup. However, stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon did not receive recognition.

The show can be streamed in full on Apple TV+.

Abbott Elementary

ABC’s “Abbott Elementary” stars Chris Perfetti as Jacob, Quinta Brunson as Janine, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa, Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson, Tyler James Williams as Gregory, and Janelle James as Ava.

Though it originally aired on ABC, Abbott Elementary is also available on streaming platforms. The show also received two nominations, including one in the best television series, comedy, category and a best actress nod to Quinta Brunson.

While fans prepare for the upcoming third season, they can catch up on the first two on Hulu and Max.

Barry

Barry scored two nominations after its final season aired in early 2023, ending in May. Bill Hader, the eponymous lead, earned a nod for best performance by a male actor in a television series in a musical or comedy.

All four seasons of Barry can be streamed on Max or on Hulu and Amazon Prime Video with a premium subscription.

Jury Duty

Jury Duty made audiences double down in laughter as the reality show/sitcom followed juror Ronald Gladden as he serves his duty and doesn’t realize everyone around him is an actor — including James Marsden.

The show can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

Ted Lasso

One of audiences’ favorite comedies since the COVID-19 pandemic, Ted Lasso, ended this year after its third season aired on Apple TV+. The show nabbed three nominations at the Globes, including nods for Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, who play the lead coach Ted and supporting role team manager Rebecca as the two try to make their team, AFC Richmond, a winner.

All three seasons of the show are available on Apple TV+.
