Georgia Harrison Juvaughn’s mother, Georgia, is an accomplished athlete in her own right. She has outstanding results as she competed for Alabama A&M University from 1993 to 1996. In her prime, she was one of the best athletes in the country. During her career, she won gold medals in various athletic events, including the 400m and 400m middle hurdles.

Dennis Blake (born September 6, 1970), Juvaughn’s father, is a former sprinter with an exceptional sporting record full of accolades and achievements. Dennis, an Olympic champion and nine-time All-American, was named the SIAC Most Valuable Player and was awarded the Abbott Award. Similarly, he won a silver medal along with three other players at the 1995 Pan American Games in Argentina.
Moreover, the Alabama A&M University alumni received various honors and recognitions during his academic career. His many athletic accomplishments earned him induction into the AAMU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006. After retirement, he chose a new professional path outside of athletics.
