Who Is Bobbi Althoff? All About the Influencer Who’s Interviewed Drake and Lil Yachty

In just two years, Bobbi Althoff went from regularly posting content for moms to interviewing famous rappers.

The 26-year-old influencer started posting videos on TikTok in 2021, mostly focusing on content surrounding her children and her pregnancy experiences. However, she rose to fame in 2023 when she launched her podcast, Really good podcast.

So far, Althoff has interviewed rappers Drake and Lil Yachty, businessman Mark Cuban, actor Rick Glassman and YouTuber Funny Marc, among others.

Known and loved for her deadpan humor and intentional discomfort with her interlocutors, Althoff has amassed over 7 million TikTok followers and over 1 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, where she posts her podcast episodes.

However, following her success, some questioned who Althoff was and how she rose to fame so quickly, fueling rumors that she was an “industrial plant”—someone secretly supported by the industry to help them achieve success.

In response to the gossip, Althoff posted a video of herself awkwardly dancing to Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World” with the caption: “Celebrating because the industry framed me.”

So who is Bobbi Althoff? Here’s everything you need to know about the TikTok influencer and podcaster.

Althoff began posting regularly on TikTok in 2021, focusing mostly on content related to being a mom. Her early TikToks revolved around her pregnancy with her second daughter and motherhood.

In one of her first public TikToks in July 2021, Althoff wrote “when people decide to have kids in their 20s instead of waiting until they’re at least 35+” above a video of herself belting out the lyrics to Minaj’s “Grindin’.” She sings along to the words “damn little mom, you’re such a loser” several times, seemingly mimicking people who have commented on how young a mom she is, wondering, “Why are you wasting your youth?” in the title.

She continued to post videos throughout 2022, mostly about her pregnancy, such as clips of her dancing and braving the heat at Disneyland.

In the latter, she joked that she was “10 months pregnant” and at an amusement park in the June heat.

“I was hoping to be able to walk her out or something, but I don’t think that’s happening,” she said. “She’s never coming, I’ll be pregnant for the rest of my life and that’s something I’ll have to accept.”

Her husband filed for divorce in February 2024

Bobbi and her husband Cory Althoff were married on January 31, 2020 and have two children. Unfortunately, in February 2024, Cory filed for divorce. He stated July 4, 2023, as the date of the couple’s separation.

“As sad as I am right now, I’m so grateful that I got the time to be his wife,” Bobbi wrote on Instagram after the news broke. “Even though our relationship didn’t work out as husband and wife, we will always be friends and I will always love him.”

According to his LinkedIn, Cory is a programmer who serves as a senior vice president at CompTIA and is the published author of two self-taught books on computer science and programming.

In April 2023, Cory made a rare appearance on Bobbi’s TikTok while the two were filming a promotional video for Bounty together. In the video, she talked about how Cory cleans the house – only to reveal that she cleans up after him because “he’s always missing little things.”

“Today I thought it would be a fun idea to talk about our marriage,” Bobbi said in the video. “My husband sleeps downstairs and I sleep upstairs where the kids sleep and I take care of them all night so I’m mostly tired so he cleans.”

At Dave Portnoy’s BFFs podcast, Bobbi shared that she doesn’t sleep with her husband since she shares a bed with her two children.

Althoff has two daughters, whom he calls Concrete and Richard, in an effort to keep their names and identities secret. Although she never shows their faces, she has featured her younger child on her TikTok since the baby was born in June 2022.

In the first appearance of her younger daughter, Althoff posted a video of herself just weeks after giving birth, getting ready to do chores with the newborn.

“I’m going to babywear her so I can do laundry and do some things around the house,” she said on TikTok.

Sticking with naming her daughter Concrete, Althoff posted a video in November 2022 to respond to a comment from someone criticizing her choice of name.

“I don’t see anything wrong with the name Concrete,” she said. “It’s a pretty common word so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be a good name. My daughter will be a very strong woman with a very strong name for her.”

She continued: “I grew up in the construction business and I always wanted my daughter to have something to do with me so yes her name is Concrete Sawdust Althoff so I encourage you to think outside the box when naming your children because the future will be a better place if we stop worry about what we call our little ones.”

Althoff has since deleted all of her videos with the children, explaining on BFFs podcast that she didn’t want them to have a digital print.

“I am so happy [deleted the videos]especially since I made that decision before [the podcast] because I don’t want them to have a digital footprint that I created,” she said. “Now that they’re out in public and they’re not with me, I don’t have to worry and that’s good.”

Althoff debuted her podcast, Really good podcast, in April 2023, and one of her first guests was Tammin Sursok, who played Jenna on Sweet little liars. Althoff cemented her signature awkward confrontational style when one of her first questions was, “So, you were on the so-called show. Sweet little liars. Was it a lie that you were beautiful?”

Months later, Althoff discovered the BFFs podcast she drove to Los Angeles once a week and paid influencers $300 to join her podcast.

She has since welcomed various other influencers and stars on her podcast, including TikTok star Morgan Presley and He’s not dead yet actor Rick Glassman.

In an April TikTok promoting her podcast, Althoff wrote that starting a podcast had always been her dream.

“I’ve always dreamed of having my own podcast…so I recorded the pilot episode…”, she wrote. “Everybody I showed it to said it was awful..They said I wouldn’t insure celebrity guests anymore…That no one would watch it…But I proved them wrong… It got 6 views and my the famous neighbor agreed to do an episode… .Don’t give up on your dreams. Ever.”

In an interview with TODAY in August 2023, Althoff said she got the idea to start the podcast using the “dry humor” persona she’s known for — and emphasized that she’s not like that in real life.

A week later, Althoff shared with Cosmopolitan how she doesn’t prepare too much for her interviews — but thinks her off-kilter style is what makes them special.

“There’s no preparation, and it’s fun,” she explained. “I think that’s why celebrities did it. They know it’s a character, and we just turn it around. It’s not a real interview. I’m not trying to get hard information about you — I’m not trying to find out anything. It’s just a conversation. It’s really a parody of a good interview.”

After more than 2 million views of her interview with YouTuber Funny Marc, Althoff has already gone viral. But her fame escalated when she teased that the next episode of her podcast would be with Drake.

On TODAY, Althoff said the interview came about when Drake saw her episode with Funny Marc and liked the video and followed her.

“When I saw that he was following me, I thought I would ask him,” she said. She continued to text him directly, and three days later interviewed him in bed.

Her full hour-long interview on YouTube, which was posted on July 20, 2023, has garnered more than 9 million views. During her conversation with the star, Althoff kept her stoic, quiet tone throughout and didn’t seem impressed by Drake — or the fact that they conducted the interview in bed.

“The idea behind it was that it would be funny if you wanted to do it so much that you bothered him while he was going to sleep to do it,” she explained to TODAY. “Now we do all my podcasts in random locations.”

During one particularly comically tense moment, Althoff asked Drake not to drink while interviewing him.

“It’s a nightcap!” He said.

“That’s sad,” she replied.

However, just weeks after she interviewed Drake, fans noticed that she Certified lover the rapper and podcast host unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Althoff pulled her interview with him from all of her platforms.

The unfollowing comes just days after Althoff posted a TikTok of herself attending a Drake concert in LA where she stood in a crowd with her arms folded with her signature deadpan expression as people danced around her. “Really in her element at this guy’s concert,” she jokingly captioned the post.

In July 2023, Althoff also released another hour-long interview with rapper Lil Yachty in which the two joked about being young parents, fame and their careers. In the middle of the interview, Drake even called Lil Yachty and said hello to Althoff.

“What’s up Bobbo?” Drake said as Lil Yachty turned the phone towards her.

In August 2023, she interviewed Marko Cuban.

She shared that her podcast breakout was “crazy.” “I always wanted it to blow up obviously, you hope for something, but it’s crazy when it actually happens,” she said.
