Biography of Damien Hirst
Damien Hirst was born in Bristol, England on June 7, 1965. He grew up in Leeds. The artist was never introduced to his father. His mother married his stepfather when he was two years old, but they divorced after ten years. Steven’s stepfather worked as a mechanic. The civic counseling center employed the mother.
Damien Hirst comes from an Irish Catholic family. He attended Allerton Grange School. Damien teaches two A-levels, gaining an E in Art. Hirst did not enroll in the Jacob Kramer School of Art. In the second year of college, he organized the independent student exhibition Freeze. He performed his performance in the administrative block of the London Port Authority in London’s Docklands.
