Hank Williams Jr. and his wife Brandi Williams were friends for two decades before they married.
The country singer and his current wife became engaged in May 2023 — just over a year after Hank’s wife of 32 years, Mary Jane Thomas, died suddenly of a collapsed lung from a punctured lung during scheduled surgery in March 2022. Hank is also married to Gwen Yeargain from 1971 to 1977 and Becky White from 1977 to 1983.
Hank has yet to speak publicly about his marriage to Brandi, though the couple went Instagram official in January 2023 with a post on the artist’s account, which showed the two dressed in camouflage while hunting. “Dear Hank & Brandi,” the caption read.
The couple had a long history of friendship before they exchanged wedding vows, and first crossed paths in 2003. Although they keep their relationship private, they enjoy sharing photos on social media of them hunting and fishing together.

Before marrying Hank, Brandi – who is from Tuscaloosa, Ala., was previously married to Jason Irvin, an artist and musician from Alabama, per Tuscaloosa News.
Brandi and Jason married in December 2005. Although it’s unclear when they split, they welcomed three children together: eldest daughter Alexis, son JB, and youngest daughter Ava, according to Jason’s Instagram posts.

Hank and Brandi got engaged on Mother’s Day, May 14, 2023. They didn’t share the news of their engagement publicly until a few months later.
On September 4, The Pure Hank Radio Show The Facebook page posted a since-deleted photo of Hank with his arms around Brandi, with the caption: “Newly engaged country music and southern rock legend Hank Williams Jr. with his beautiful and lovely fiancee[e] Brandi.”

Hank and Brandi were married in a small ceremony in Alabama on September 9, 2023.
The official Facebook account of Hank Williams Jr. shared details of the celebration days after the nuptials — which took place less than a week after the couple publicly announced their engagement. According to the release, the ceremony took place at Enon Baptist Church in Banks, Ala., “before a small group of family and friends,” followed by a reception at Kendall Hall in Troy, Ala.
The couple also shared a photo of their wedding on Hank’s Instagram. The post shows Hank and Brandi at the church altar – which was decorated with white and green flowers – with Brandi wearing a sparkling white dress and holding a large bouquet and Hank wearing a black suit and sunglasses. “MR. and Mrs. Hank Williams Jr.,” the headline read.
At the reception, Brandi also wore a white cowboy hat with the words “Mrs. Bocephus” — referring to Hank’s nickname, Bocephus — according to a TikTok video posted by wedding hair and makeup artist Tori Howard.
Howard also posted a photo of the couple walking down the aisle hand in hand on Instagram. In the photo, both Hank and Brandi had big smiles as they walked through the church, whose pews were decorated with flowers and white bows.

While Hank and Brandi don’t share much about their personal lives on social media, they do share photos of themselves hunting and fishing together.
On the Fourth of July 2023, Hank’s official Instagram account posted a couple of photos of Hank and Brandi fishing.
The first photo shows Hank in sunglasses and a hat holding a fish, and the second shows Brandi with a fish of her own – and her engagement ring visible on her left hand.
A month after their wedding, in October 2023, Hank’s official Facebook page shared a video of the couple hunting. “A great morning in Montana,” read the headline. Brandi posted the same photo on her Facebook.
