Biography of Johnny Knoxville
Philip was born on March 11, 1971 to Philip Clapp Sr. and Lemoyne Clapp in Knoxville, Tennessee. He left South-Young High School in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree and moved to California to begin his acting career. John married Melanie Lynn Cates in 1995. Madison, their daughter, was born in 1996. Their union, however, did not last as Knoxville himself filed for divorce in 2007. Knoxville and his girlfriend, Naomi Nelson, announced their pregnancy publicly in 2009. In 2009, he gave birth to and their son Rocko Akira Clapp. Arlo Lemoyne Yoko was born in 2011 after the couple married in 2010.

He worked as an extra in numerous shows and commercials after moving to Los Angeles. When performing opportunities dried up, he decided to create his own essays and publish them in various magazines. Big Brother, a skateboarding publication, was intrigued by Knoxville’s plan to test the self-defense tools himself. Then Big Brother recorded this video and used it in one of his videos. In Jackass, John uses many of his concepts. Gumball 3000 starred Knoxville and his Jackass cast.
Johnny has also appeared in a number of films, such as Jay Chandrasekhar’s adaptation of The Dukes of Hazzard. He starred in the films The Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two and Jackass 3D. He also appeared in Men in Black II, which was released in 2002. Johnny appeared in Coyote Ugly and provided the voice for two episodes of King of the Hill. He also appeared in the 2004 films A Dirty Shame and Walking Tall.
He appeared in Lords of Dogtown, The Ringer and Daltry Calhoun in 2005. Additionally, Knoxville and Ryan Dunn appeared in an episode of Viva La Bam where they made numerous jokes about Bam Margera.
