Major Bakhtawar serving in the Faridkot . State Forces
Major Bakhtawar Singh Brar is one of the oldest veterans of the Indian Army. The man served in the Kumaon Regiment. Unfortunately, the man died on Monday in the United States. At the time of his death, the defender was 109 years old.
Born in the district of Faridkot in November 1913, Major Brar first served in the Faridkot State Force. He later served in the 6th Kumaon Regiment, before retiring in 1963.
In 1934, Major Brar joined the state forces of the Maharaja of Faridkot. Veterans were also awarded a memorial.
