Taylor Lautner was born on February 11, 1992 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States of America. Similarly, he is 31 years old. He was born in the United States to Deborah and Daniel Lautner. His father was a pilot for Midwest Airlines, while his mother worked for a software company. Makena is Taylor’s younger sister. Like his younger sister Makena, Taylor was raised Roman Catholic. He comes from German, French, Dutch and Indian ancestors. As a child, he was bullied by a classmate for becoming an actor.
Taylor began training in karate at the age of six. He first met Michael Chaturantabut, a Thai-American actor and stuntman who founded Xtreme Martial Arts, at a national karate tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. He trained with him and already had a black belt at the age of eight. Taylor was a multiple junior world champion. Lautner also competed in the 2003 ISKA karate event televised by ESPN.
Besides karate, Lautner enjoyed baseball, jazz and hip-hop dancing, and was a member of his high school’s football team. His karate instructor recommended him to pursue acting. Then he auditioned. Despite failing the audition, he decided to pursue acting. He and his parents commuted from Michigan to Los Angeles for auditions, occasionally returning to start school in their hometown. This pattern was exhausting him, and on top of that, his relationship with his peers was deteriorating. The family eventually decided to go to California. He attended Valencia High School in Santa Clarita, California, a public school. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Grant Valley State University and earned a bachelor’s degree.

After moving to California, he appeared in several minor television roles and commercials. Taylor Lautner starred in “The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D” in 2005. He played Jack Spivey in the NBC drama “My Own Worst Enemy” in 2006. In 2010, he played Willy Harrington, Taylor Swift’s love interest in Valentine’s Day in the Twilight film series. He also appeared in the films “Abduction” and “Breaking Dawn Part 2” in 2012 and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” in 2011 and 2012.
