Will Smith gave promising news regarding the I am legend 2.
While talking to Party tonight about the long-awaited sequel to the 2007 post-apocalyptic film, Smith, 55, revealed that he and Michael B. Jordan “spent a few weeks together about a month ago.”
“I think it looks good,” Smith added. “[We have some] really good ideas… I think we will succeed together on screen. That guy is the truth, so I’d love to do it.”

In the original film based on Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel of the same name, Smith plays scientist Robert Neville, the lone survivor of a world where a disease that has spread among humans has turned them into zombie-like creatures who hide from sunlight.
Fans first learned that Smith and Jordan, 37, will star and produce the new film in March 2022.
Smith confirmed the news on his Instagram profile by posting a photo of an abandoned street. Although the post was untitled, it tagged Jordan in the center of the image.

That same month, Smith said Party tonight that he decided to make the second film because of the “really, really cool concept” he and Jordan helped create.
“It was one of those that I was going to leave alone, and then I heard the idea,” he told the newspaper at the time. While no script details have been released, screenwriter Akiva Goldsman told Deadline in February 2023 that the new film “will pick up decades later than the first.”
“I’m obsessed The last of uswhere we only see the world as post-apocalypse, but also after a 20-30 year gap,” Goldsman said of his inspiration.

“You see the earth taking over the world again, and there’s something beautiful about it, as man moves away from the primary tenant, what happens? That’s going to be especially visual in New York,” Goldsman said, adding that “the possibilities are endless.”
