A woman was left in shock after finding more than decorations on her Christmas tree!
In a video posted on TikTok, user @brettbratt359 revealed how she found a possum hiding in her artificial snow tree, which was decorated with black balls, sequins and bows.
“I don’t understand how this is in my house right now,” she captioned the video.
In the video, the animal can be seen sitting among the branches in the middle of the tree while the woman films it.
“I’m literally sizzling right now,” she said to the camera. “I have no idea how this possum got into my house and climbed up my tree and I’m trying to get it out but it won’t let me and I just don’t know what to do. I don’t know how he got in here, I don’t leave my door open. Somebody help!”

In another video, she also shared a close-up of the possum and said: “Hey little buddy. How did you get into my house and onto my tree without me noticing? You’re really cute, but I don’t know what to do.”
The woman later explained how she discovered the animal and moved it away from her home after hearing it sneeze while sitting on the couch.
“I have three dogs and a cat so I thought it was one of them but I looked and they weren’t there,” she said.
“Then I heard it again, but a little louder and some other noises, so I got up and started looking to see if my cat was stuck behind the couch or something like that or sleeping on the window,” she continued. “But as I was looking around, I saw a really big long-looking rat’s tail and I kind of stopped because I was in shock. I didn’t know what it was.”
The woman said she then saw “this huge gray ball of fur breathing” and called her boyfriend, who told her where she could find rubber gloves to take the animal off “in case it bites me or gets grumpy.”

“I take my gloves, grab him around the body and try to pull him out of the tree,” she said. “Well, they have hands, and he was clinging to this Christmas tree, and no matter how hard I tried to pull him, he wouldn’t come off.”
“After giving up and trying again and trying to feed him a few times, I finally did my best and plucked his fingers off the branch one by one,” she continued. “It was a pain and started tossing around when I actually took it off the branch and then it fell to the floor along with all the decorations. It wasn’t a hard fall, it wasn’t very far.”
The possum then proceeded to run under one of the woman’s couches.
“I moved him and I went to try to catch him, and then he ran under the other couch,” she said. “This process happened five times, I moved them and he ran. I thought they were slow animals, but that must be a misunderstanding because that mofo was fast!”

After the last attempt, the woman said she was able to catch the animal and throw it out. “I moved the couch with all my might and just grabbed him, grabbed him like an NFL football player, grabbed him and calmed him down,” she said.
“It smelled so bad,” she continued, but added that the possum “wasn’t mean and wasn’t aggressive.”
She also confirmed to her followers that she called Animal Control, but “they didn’t come after hours, it’s a small town.”
“As an animal lover with three dogs, two snakes and a bearded dragon and a cat, I probably would have kept him if he hadn’t smelled so awful,” she added.
