A WOMAN has died while carrying presents in a horrific car crash just days before Christmas.
Tragedy struck at around 7.45pm last night when a 72-year-old pedestrian was hit on Brewster Street in Bootle, near Liverpool.

A couple who witnessed the incident said “presents were everywhere,” reports the Mirror.
The woman is believed to have been Christmas shopping before the horror.
The emergency services rushed her to the hospital, where she died soon after.
A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: “Investigations are ongoing following a serious road traffic collision in Bootle this evening (Thursday, December 12).
“Emergency services were called at 7.45pm following a collision between a blue Ford Focus and a 72-year-old female pedestrian in Brewster Street, near Brewster Street Garage.
“The injured woman was taken to the hospital, where she unfortunately died soon after.
– The car driver stopped at the scene.
Chief Inspector Andy Foster said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. We are also appealing for any motorists who have CCTV footage to come forward.
“The woman’s family was informed and with the help of the police.”
