Zendaya always wins on the red carpet, mostly thanks to her collaboration with her longtime stylist Law Roach — and her heels. In a recent interview on Rech Omondi’s fashion podcast, Cutting room floorRoach, 45, shared details about his work with Zendaya, 27, over the years and why she almost always wears 120-millimeter (4.7-inch) Christian Louboutin So Kate shoes when she attends an event.
He called the sky-high shoes “one of the most versatile shoes, [and] one of the most painful.”

Roach explained in the podcast that Challengers star wears So Kate shoes, which were inspired by model Kate Moss, from Zendaya when she was 14. He told how she wore heels for the first time at a press event and how she struggled. “I said, ‘You’re not going to take these shoes off.’ She kept them on, and the next day she put them back on,” Roach said. “And the next day she put them back on.”
“Now,” Roach said, “her feet are kind of, like, trained. She could wear them all day.”

Earlier in the interview, Roach also recalled when he started out in the industry and worked with Zendaya, “I didn’t understand that the girl who got the most press was the best dressed.”
