He took the photo while climbing Ben Wyvis in north Inverness, and it has now become a mind-blowing optical illusion.
To most observers, the image appears to be made of rocks strewn across the hill.
But take another look and see if you can spot the animal hiding in plain sight.

The image first appeared online in 2016, but has resurfaced among a new audience of optical illusion fans.
Speaking about the image, Laurence said: “At first I heard the noise of the birds but I struggled to make them out – then I saw four of them blending into the background.
“I took a few pictures hoping to catch one of them.
“As I was going through my photos from that day, I thought I had missed them, but just as I was about to hit delete, I noticed it.”
