Zoë Kravitz Says She’s ‘Excited’ and ‘Waiting by the Phone’ for Big Little Lies Season 3 Script to ‘Be Done’ (Exclusive)

Zoë Kravitz knows as much about it Big little lies season 3 as fans.

The Blink twice director, who plays Bonnie Carlson in the Big little liestells PEOPLE she’s been waiting — “like everyone else” — to find out what’s in store for her character on the HBO drama series, which 2023 actress Nicole Kidman has seemingly confirmed is returning for another season.

“I’m waiting to see, like everyone else, the third season that happens … I’m waiting by the phone, waiting for the script to be finished,” says Kravitz, 35, admitting she knows “nothing” about the third season but is “excited to will do it”.

For now, Kravitz is busy promoting the psychological thriller Blink twiceher directorial debut, starring fiancé Channing Tatum, Naomi Ackie, Simon Rex, Haley Joel Osment and Geena Davis, among others.

“They’re so cool,” Kravitz says of Dern, 57, and Witherspoon, 48.

“Everybody’s busy and working and they’ve got families and all that, so I think they’re … they’re not talking, they’re just talking,” Kravitz continues. “They really appear that way, both publicly and privately.

And while she’s “not surprised” that Dern and Witherspoon attended Blink twice premiere to support her and the cast, she says it’s “still great that they came.”

When asked where she would like Bonnie’s Big little lies The story that follows, Kravitz predicted the future of Bonnie and husband Nathan Carlson (played by James Tupper).

“Good question. I think Bonnie getting a divorce is good for her,” she says.

IN Blink twicewhich Kravitz also co-wrote, Tatum, 44, stars as Slater King, a tech billionaire who tries to repair his image after being accused of wrongdoing. Ackie, 31, plays Frida, a troubled waitress who meets Slater at a black-tie event while pretending to be a guest.

During the filming of the movie 2022, Kravitz and Tatum fell in love. Kravitz hopes she and Tatum can collaborate on another project in the future: “I hope so,” she says.

“Art is our language of love,” she explains. “I think that’s what we love, and we love talking about it, and experiencing it, and supporting each other.”
