Adam Brody and Leighton Meester Step Out in Style at the 2025 Golden Globes!

The couple, who married back in 2014, dazzled on the red carpet in coordinated — and colorful — looks.

Brody, 45, wore a navy blue suit with a black bow tie and a white rose on the lapel of his jacket. Shiny black oxfords rounded out his suit.

He also brought his signature curls and glowing skin prepared by groomer Kim Verbeck using Dermalogica skin care.

Meester, 38, dazzled in a skin-tight citrus dress with a plunging neckline, which she teamed with glittering diamond jewelry and glittering silver pointed-toe heels. For glam, Gossip Girl the alum opted for an elegant updo with curtains and subtle peach makeup.

Before the ceremony, the parents of the two children stopped on the carpet to talk to them Hey!‘s Zuri Hall about how their coincidentally complementary outfits came about.

“It’s more than a happy accident, but it wasn’t premeditated either. We both chose what we wanted and what we wanted was to go together,” said Brody, who is nominated for Best Actor in a Television Series for Nobody wants this.

Brody won praise from critics and fans as “hot rabbi” Noah in the hit Netflix series, which also stars Kristen Bell. In his interview with Hey!he said the series’ success was both “overwhelming” and “satisfying”.

“I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s just joyful,” he said. “Hopefully that means I’ll be back in 20 years time as everyone’s favorite grandpa boy.”

Meester also teased a new project that could involve her husband. “I have an idea, but it’s top secret,” she teased.

Speaking to PEOPLE for the Sexiest Man Alive 2024 issue in November, OC the actor admitted that he had no idea that so much of the internet would turn red for his charming performance. “I knew we had something that worked, but I had no idea what a wide range of people would enjoy it,” he told PEOPLE. “I’ve been doing this for a long time and it doesn’t happen often, whoever you are. So it’s very satisfying and exciting.”

And it “worked” so much that the series was renewed for a second season on October 10 – just two weeks after its premiere in September. In an interview with PEOPLE about Season 2, Brody’s co-star Jackie Toh raved about the Golden Globe nominee: “People always talk about, ‘Oh, there’s no one like Noah.’ The bad news: Adam Brody is like that, and he exists.”

Last year, Brody and Meester topped the Golden Globes afterparty and matched simple black looks as they celebrated at the UTA afterparty at La Dolce Vita in Beverly Hills, California. In 2011, Meester, who was at her peak Gossip Girl fame, attended the event as host, Garrett Hedlund took the stage to present the award.

Brody and Meester first started dating in February 2013, were spotted out for dinner in Venice, California, and made their first public appearance as a couple four months later. Later that year, the couple became engaged, and married in a low-key ceremony in February 2014.

During their career, the duo combined work and play on several occasions — they starred in various projects together. The pair were introduced to the deli by Josh Schwartz, a producer on both Gossip Girl and OCbefore they starred together on the set of the 2011 raunchy comedy Oranges not long after that. Brody and Meester also shared several scenes in the film Life partnerswhich hit theaters in December 2014 after they got married.

Brody also appeared in seven episodes of his wife’s ABC sitcom Single parents in 2019 and 2020, playing Meester’s battered boyfriend Derek. “It’s just fun being on set with him,” Leighton said of working with Brody in an interview with PEOPLE. “I love being at work, and when my best friend comes and works with me, it’s the best thing ever. ”

The actors had their first child, daughter Arlo, in 2015. They have a son together, born in 2020, whose name has not been revealed.

“It was pretty magical,” Brody told PEOPLE of fatherhood shortly after welcoming baby No. 2. “It’s such a crazy time for everybody and we’re so, so, so lucky to have some of the security that we have and to have the flexibility with our jobs that we do. We talk about it all the time and we’re just happy and lucky.”
