Angie Harmon's Daughter Arrested in North Carolina Over Alleged Nightclub Break-In

Angie Harmon’s daughter, Avery Sehorn, was arrested for allegedly breaking into a nightclub in North Carolina, just days after celebrating her graduation.

18-year-old — which one Law and order actress, 51, shares with ex-husband Jason Sehorn — was arrested Thursday, June 6, after a Charlotte nightclub owner accused her and two 17-year-olds of breaking into the business and stealing bottles of alcohol, a local news outlet reported WCCB.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Avery allegedly broke into World Nightclub in Charlotte and stole six bottles of liquor worth $500 on Wednesday, June 5.

Fox News reported that the alleged break-in happened around 11:30 p.m., citing an incident report, and arrest records obtained by PEOPLE show Avery was arrested just two minutes after midnight that same night.

The owner of the nightclub told WCCB that Avery and two boys broke in through the back door, hid behind the bar and stole bottles of liquor. He said they were caught by cleaning crews and tried to escape but were later caught by police. The owner also told the bar that the incident was caught on security cameras.

Avery has since been charged with felony breaking and entering, as well as felony theft, according to court documents. She was released from prison on June 6 after signing a written promise to return for her upcoming trial. She is next scheduled to appear in Mecklenburg County Court on June 28.

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Harmon’s attorney, George V. Laughrun II, said, “Mrs. Harmon respects and believes in the criminal justice system. She looks forward to her daughter’s day in court so the real truth can be told from the individuals who witnessed the events.”

Charlotte police did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

After her dog’s death, she filed a lawsuit against Instacart and the delivery driver alleging trespassing, negligence, invasion of privacy and more. Harmon previously opened up to PEOPLE about the incident, calling the pain of losing Oliver “unfathomable.”

“I’m still screaming and crying. I feel like I’m shaking. It’s hard — unimaginable — but we can’t just sit back and do nothing. We can’t just sit back and take our rebate from Instacart and say, ‘Okay, thank you.’ This is like a public announcement,” she said. “I mean, people need to know that this could happen.”
