Ant Anstead offers a glimpse into his unconventional future workshop!
In a photo shared exclusively with PEOPLE, Celebrity IOU: Joyride The host, 45, was seen hard at work on the car in the historic barn that will soon be his new workspace.
British car expert, recently spending time in the UK where his girlfriend Renee Zellweger is filming the latest Bridget Joneshe previously explained that the barn is where he plans to fix up some vintage cars to finance a complete renovation of the 500-year-old farm he bought in rural England for his parents.

Ant Anstead is using the barn as his workshop to finance the restoration of a historic farmhouse for his parents.

Anstead first revealed he was working on the project in a video he shared on his Instagram account on Wednesday, June 19.
“I have really exciting news because I’ve been secretly working on a brand new television show,” he says in the clip. “Because I went and bought a 500-year-old country house in rural England for my parents to move into.”
In the video, a stable can be seen peeking out in the background as he continues to explain the new series to his followers.
“Now what I thought would be a very modern house restoration turned out to be a nightmare. The back of the house is completely condemned. So I decided to do what I know best.”

The car expert reveals his solution is to use the “dusty old” barn as a workshop where he will “find, fix and flip a few classic cars” to finance the renovation.
“Cars, I can. Homes…” he says as he stares into the distance. “That.”
In the post’s caption, Anstead adds that the estate is “part of British heritage” and that the profits it makes from car repairs will “hopefully” pay for the restoration. He also notes that it is a show that documents all of this, and that has a working title Ant Anstead: The Naked Mechanic, coming soon to Discovery+.

Although Anstead was born and raised in the UK, his main residence is now in California where he shares a home with his girlfriend, award-winning actress Renée Zellweger, 54.
His youngest son, Hudson, 4, lives in California where his mom and Anstead’s ex-wife, Christina Hall, also live. Anstead also shares two older children – daughter Amelia, 20, and son Archie, 17 – with his first wife Louise Storey. Older children live in Great Britain

In April 2023, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Anstead and Zellweger “found a house they both love and are moving into together” in Southern California, prompting Anstead to sell her beloved Temple House in Laguna Beach that same month.
A year later, the father of three temporarily moved to his native London to be with Judy actress while shooting the fourth part of the film Bridget Jones’s Diary series, a source told PEOPLE in April.
“Ant is heading to the UK with Renée while she’s filming later this year,” a source said. “Ant is excited to spend time with his older children.”
