While Joey Graziadei headed north to Canada on Monday’s episode Bachelorhis heart was a little cold.
“I know I should feel great, but I’m really struggling,” 28-year-old Joey admitted.
The tennis pro admitted he felt “held back”.
“I think the fear comes from me because I’m afraid that for some reason this won’t work,” he said. “I don’t know why I hold on to it so much, but the last time I really opened up, I was with Charity. I left heartbroken. I felt so lost after that.”

Host and Canadian Jesse Palmer welcomed Joey’s remaining 10 wives to Montreal and showed off his French. The new dad, 45, informed the ladies that there would be one group date and two one-on-one dates, starting with the group date.
GROUP DATE
Daisy, Katelyn, Kelsey A., Jenn, Rachel, Lexi, Lea, and Jess ended up on a group date, which left Kelsey T. and Maria on a one-on-one date.
“A lot of emotions came up today just because I’m realizing more and more how hard it is for me to express my feelings,” Joey told the women at the start of the date. “And that just scares me. But I still really want to be intentional with our time.”

Joey and the eight ladies went on a tour of Jesse’s best spots in Montreal, including a stop at his favorite restaurant, Le Garde-Manger, where they made their own poutine.
Some of the women would prefer a solo date with Joey.
“The energy is a little weird because it feels like there are a million girls trying to compete for his attention,” Kelsey A., 25, said in an interview. “At one point I think we were dancing around Joey. It felt very iconic. I would say this is probably my least favorite date I’ve been on just because it’s very difficult to navigate.”
Katelyn shared a similar sentiment with Kelsey A. “This group date, this is the hardest,” said the radiochemist, 25.
Jess felt the same way. “In group settings, I feel forgotten,” admitted the executive assistant, 24.

At the after party, Katelyn got teary-eyed talking about the fight on the group date.
“I feel like it’s really hard for me to see, like, your connection with everyone else,” she told Joey. “I guess that, combined with the lack of one-on-ones, is difficult.”
Kelsey A. talked to Joey about feeling like “I’m just the background” on group dates, but she also told him, “I definitely feel like I’m falling for you.”
Lexi, 30, went on to ask Joey about his timeline for getting married and having kids.
“In my mind it’s like a two- or three-year engagement, somewhere along those lines,” he explained. “I always envisioned having a couple of years of marriage before I thought about settling down with kids because I also want to enjoy the marriage before we bring someone else into it.”
Joey’s conversations went back to the women telling him they had a crush on him, and Jenn and Jess expressed that to him. When he heard it from Jenn, Joey told the cameras, “I don’t feel like I’m quite ready to say it, but I feel like I’m getting closer.”

But after Jess told him how she felt, Joey responded by telling her he didn’t see a future with her.
“I just couldn’t come,” Joey admitted to Jess. “And I know that’s not easy to hear. I have to be honest through this and because you deserve it. I think you are amazing. I think you deserve the world. I just don’t think it’s right to keep you here.”
Joey felt oppressed as he saw her off. “I just hurt someone I care about,” the Philadelphia native admitted.
Before the meeting ended, he gave Jenn a rose.
FIRST ONE ON ONE
Joey took Kelsey T., 31, to training for Cirque du Soleil. But the twists and turns and twists did not sit well with him.
“I’m going to get sick. I just don’t feel well with the dizziness,” he said.
When the coach asked Joey and Kelsey T. if they needed water, he replied, “I feel like I need Dramamine.”

Sitting with Kelsey T. after their spin helped ground him. “I want you to know how much I enjoyed it,” he told the actress. “It’s hard to like show it right because I’m not feeling 100 percent, but I already feel better just sitting next to you.”
Later at dinner, Kelsey T. told Joey about how she has a strained relationship with her father because of their religious differences.
“He wanted me to focus on it and he wanted me to be in it, but in my heart, I knew it wasn’t what I wanted to be,” Kelsey T. told Joey. “And since I decided to go to college, he didn’t support that decision at all. Anyone who was supposed to be in his household had to be in the faith and that’s why I was no longer allowed to be there. And that hurt.”
Kelsey T. said her broken relationship with her father “messed with me a lot” and “affected the way I believe in relationships.”

Joey understood. “You have every reason to have these trust issues,” said Kelsey T.
Kelsey T. said she reconnected with her father in recent years. “It’s nice, but it’s also really hard because he’s still missing out on a lot,” she shared.
Joey presented Kelsey T with a rose in heartfelt recognition. “I believe she can be a great wife and I’m excited to see what the future holds,” he affirmed.
ANOTHER ONE ON ONE
For his date with Maria, Joey picked her up in a limo and took her dress shopping at Claudette Floyd’s boutique. This was followed by a helicopter ride which included some champagne.
“Today was so special and he made me feel so beautiful,” Maria, 29, said in an interview.

During the evening portion of their date, Maria told Joey that she had previously been in a relationship that almost led to an engagement.
“I just want someone to say what they want and mean it,” said Maria.
Joey revealed: “The idea of this failing scares the crap out of me.”
Maria said she could see a future with Joey. “I feel so happy when I’m with you,” the executive assistant told Joey. “I love every moment I’m with you. I’m falling for you in ways I never expected.”
They kissed, and then they were at a private concert.
“I see a future with Maria,” Joey told the cameras.
The bachelor ended the night with Maria by giving her a rose. “I feel good tonight,” Joey said. “This works. I can let go of worries. I know I will find my wife.”
UNEXPECTED DEPARTURE
Before the cocktail party, Lexi came to look for Joey in his hotel room because “I have a pit in my stomach,” she said.
When she sat down with Joey, Lexi said she thought about his answer to her question about his timeline for marriage and kids.
“I know you want more than a long engagement and want to take some time after that before kids — sorry, I don’t want to be emotional,” she began, “but it’s just not something I’m privileged to do right now with my health situation.”

Lexi said she felt “so heard” and “respected” during their one-on-one chat in Malta, but, “as someone who has infertility, I have to take it seriously when I’m dating.”
As a result, the digital strategist, who previously spoke about being diagnosed with endometriosis, decided it would be “unfair” to stick around.
“I hate this,” Joey said. “This is not what I had in mind.”
Lexi said the situation hasn’t changed how she feels about Joey. But Joey told the cameras: “I feel broken.”
COCKTAIL PARTY AND ROSE CEREMONY
Joey opened the cocktail party by telling the women why he felt uncomfortable: “The root of it was my biggest fear: choosing someone and not getting it back.”
The speech worried some of the women, including Katelyn and Rachel, 26, who expressed the same to Joey.
“Thank you for trying to find a way to make me feel special tonight,” Joey said to Katelyn.
Daisy tried to lighten the mood by testing Joey’s foot massage skills. “I like it every night,” joked the account manager, 25.
Who went home on Bachelor Season 28? Joey Graziadei’s line of elimination
Jenn tried to teach Joey to play the piano while the other women watched.
“I don’t want to watch,” Rachel told the rest of the group.
When it came time for the rose ceremony, Joey only had three roses to hand out. They went to Daisy, Kelsey A. and Rachel, which meant Lea and Katelyn were gone.
