Biography/Wiki

Bhayyuji was a spiritual leader of great repute. He was born into a farming family in Madhya Pradesh. He worked very hard to build his career. After graduation, he worked many small jobs to make ends meet and later managed to find a suitable job at Mahindra Cement Factory. He decided to join Indian politics when he came in contact with Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

Maharaj made national headlines when the central government sent him as ambassador to break the fast of Anna Hazare during the 2011 Lokpal riots. Anna Hazare broke her fast after drinking his juice.

In 2016, a year after the death of his wife Madhavi, he decided to retire “Sanyas” from public life. However, his mother and sisters convinced him to get married again and since then, on April 30, 2017, he got married to Ayushi Sharma.

He made great efforts for the welfare of society and established institutions like “Shri Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust” to teach students and distribute scholarships to them. Another of his organizations, Suryodaya Ashram, is developing mainly in rural areas of Maharashtra.

He shot himself with his personal licensed revolver at his residence in Indore on June 12, 2018, at around 12:15 pm. In his suicide note, he mentioned that the cause of his death was excessive mental stress. He also appealed for someone to look after his family.

Bhayyuji Maharaj was born on April 29, 1968 in Shujalpur, Madhya Pradesh, to a Maratha farmer family in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. His real name is Uday Singh Deshmukh. His father’s name is Vishwas Rao Deshmukh and mother’s name is Kumudini Devi. He also has two sisters.

He married a girl named Madhavi and became the father of daughter Kuhu in 2002. Unfortunately, Madhavi passed away in 2015 and two years after his death, on April 30, 2017, he tied the knot with doctor Ayushi Sharma.

Profession

After completing his BSc, Maharaj worked various small jobs and even worked as a part-time model at ‘Siyaram Suitings’. However, after a lot of hard work and struggle, he finally found a job as a project engineer at Mahindra Cement Plant.

He entered politics when politician Anil Deshmukh introduced him to Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and worked for The rise of the Congress party in the Maratha region played an important role.

Later, he developed a close relationship with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also offered him the post of minister of state, but he turned it down.

In 2017, Mumbai-based writer Mallika Rajput accused Bhayyuji of cheating on her. According to her, when she first met him, he asked her to write a book about his life. She accepted the offer and after writing his biography, she gave 950 copies of the book to Bhayyuji. Malika claimed that he did not distribute her book or even return the copies to her. However, Yuva Rashtra Sant described it as a vague message and the Trust did not approve the book.
